If there was a Waluigi game, I like the idea of it being a multiplayer game with an all-original cast a la Diddy Kong Racing where all the characters are E-rated parodies of different villain tropes. A dragon guarding his gold, a greedy oil tycoon, a masked slasher (of tomatoes), a 40s mobster, a cartoon predator animal, so on.
I stand by Puzzle League being the perfect game to attach Waluigi to - moreso than not only Pikachu and Yoshi, but also Lip herself - since it's an accessible, wits-based game where you get to be really annoying to your opponent.
I think that "Mortal Kombat can't be in Smash because the latest games are banned" is a reasonable argument from a likelihood standpoint, given that Smash picks (especially in DLC, where a Kombatant would likely be placed) are often meant to shill recent titles, but from a "can it happen at all" standpoint it doesn't really make sense since most legacy third party characters in Smash are based on earlier iterations, with Hero and maybe Sonic as the only outliers (even Steve kept his beard!), so they wouldn't have to research nor promote any banned games, even if not being able to do the latter could be a roadblock for Nintendo and/or WB.
The NASB 2 thread is getting so antsy about cuts that I'm being reprimanded for briefly mistaking Donatello for Leonardo in a 4 second cameo.
I'm watching a video about Olympic mascots, and I swear that Smash speculation has turned the word "mascot" into a fight-or-flight word for me.
It's absolutely crazy to me that people were complaining about NASB 1 not doing a mystery season pass.

I'm making a 400 character Smash roster, and I'm starting to realize that I've set a way too high amount for any roster, let alone one that doesn't have EIH. You'll know what I mean when I get it on the site.
I speak with complete sincerity when I say that the most exciting NASB reveal for me - not just NASB 2, the series as a whole - was that supers can be blocked. (other than the reveal of nasb 1 but that does not count)

Copyright and trademark law get **** on a lot, and rightfully so, but patents are the real stinky dinky. Sure, people have a closer emotional attachment to the idea of "Mickey Mouse" than the idea of "velcro", but patents have the power to set the world back at large - especially in pharmaceutical and environmental industries.
I should really stop reading the NASB thread. Not only do they rag on me for every little thing I say, but considering all the conspiracy-theory-making going on right now, I am not ready for the eruption when there are inevitably cuts and a lot of them are inevitably kinda stupid. Literally every design decision made for the Pikmin 4 dog makes me go "why", but somehow it's still really appealing.
For all the weird and outdated elements of the "Melee Mega Roster" (Star Wars, excessive-even-for-pre-buyout-and-pre-COGH-speculation Rare rep, nonsensical-even-by-my-standards ideas like the Moon, no Pac-Man, e.t.c), some of it is legit based - like Mia over Isaac, Solo Pikmin, Metroid, Paratroopa, an OC Bowser form, Tingle, Redead, a Goron, and non-anthro Frogger.

I find it funny how, despite having Adult Swim branding and being based on the show library known for being edgier overall, Checkered Past is going to be way more accessible to the shows' original target audiences than Nickelodeon's nostalgia blocks were given its after-school timeslot and TV-PG rating for interstitial content.
Not sure if after-school was the best choice, that's a big time for children's programming where you should be showing new episodes of major shows instead of a nostalgia block, but at the very least not being midnight means it won't eat into the existing Adult Swim block, and will allow these shows to be seen by their original demographics. Mid-school would probably be the best place IMO - in the UK, CN used to air nostalgic programming there in the early 2010s, it'd still appeal to a primarily adult audience, but it makes for special "exclusive" programming for kids when they're sick or if (like me at that time) their school provides TV during lunch breaks.

I'm surprised that no mascot horror games have tried to make a character who serves as a pastiche of the old Walt Disney "Uncle Walt" persona and 50s Disneyland TV show - I guess it's just so old and poorly-preserved that nobody in the gaming market would be nostalgic for it, but the idea of a CEO who's business has a primary market of kids selling products with a "cozy, friendly" human persona is nightmarish when you think about it, much moreso than the Bozo the Clown/Barney types more commonly used in satire, even if Walt himself wasn't exactly the Hitler 2 people make him out to be.

I'm starting to dislike how people are portraying Peppino as this badass violent force of good instead of a deluded neurotic weirdo - like, part of the reason I love Pizza Tower so much is because of how unconventional and un-aspirational Peppino's personality is for a gaming protagonist, so seeing him undergo fandom Doomguyification where people act like he's admirable doesn't sit right with me.
I think people tend to overexagerate how little Smash changes characters because... it does, quite a bit in fact, it's just that most of its changes have primarily been balance-based instead of anything diegetic. 3DS/Wii U Bowser and Brawl Bowser are completely different beasts, even if Bowser's flame breath didn't become a projectile. -
