I think it would be kinda cool for Smash to embrace a little more... Fortnite-isms... in the next game. More specifically, when it comes to items. Most of the items in Smash are well, just that, common equippable weapons from the source material, with some exceptions like the Star Rod or Lip's Stick - when it would be way more fun to have individual characters' weapons in the item pool. Let Squirtle use the Chaos Emeralds or Ridley wield the Murasame or Kazooie perch on Pit's back.

I hate that I'm saying this, but I kinda miss Infinite. You know, sometimes I think I could just do with a quick argument over the historical significance of Blast Corps relative to the entire Turbografx game library, whether Jet Set Willy should be classed as a "meme game", or if Mercy Killing Agent Orange-Mutated Babies Simulator is an appropriate title to feature characters from in a fighting game.

Pretty much every "Disney went woke and got BROKE" talking point has a more rational explanation

Strange World - Had no marketing until it launched on DVD
Lightyear - A movie inside a movie that completely contradicts an already-popular movie inside a movie
Turning Red - Extremely limited theatrical release
Remakes going from blockbusters to flops - cause and effect, people seeing the remakes and realizing they're bad
Onward - Released exactly as a pandemic started

This mentality also conveniently ignores that The Owl House is one of Disney's biggest new IPs in years, and that well... Disney isn't woke - they censor the **** out of those "exclusively gay moments".

I think one bit of context I forgot to provide for my previous N64/GBC takes is that I was counting the Virtual Boy and Game & Watch in my ranking of consoles. Not familiar enough with Colour TV Game and Pokemon Mini to say if their libraries are better or worse than GBC and N64 though. (though I think CTVG is mostly direct clones, so I wouldn't really be able to count it)

I'm sure we've all figured out by now that "ISAAC was delayed because of an EARTHQUAKE?" and "Iwata DIED?? LOLO confirmed as TRIBUTE!!" was pretty messed up, but not nearly enough attention has been drawn to how the response to "Sakurai doesn't get to choose the Smash DLC" wasn't "oh no, a corporation is seizing control of a work of art away from it's director" but rather "YOOOO PORKY CONFIRMED???
