The stereotype about black people not being able to swim came from a study stating a majority of black children don't know how to swim. Issue is, the majority of black children couldn't swim because cities suspiciously avoid building pools in poor areas, where much of the black population lives in the US.

However, some small indoor pools were built that they could swim in. Keep in mind this was during segregation. Combined with the fact that there were often less or no life guards, black children had a higher rate of drowning as well.

Tl; Dr all the problems listed above stemmed from racism and racists are too stupid to understand cause and effect, who then created the stereotype.

The Jewish one? No clue.
