I don't get why people are calling Pizza Tower a hard game? It's honestly almost as easy as a Kirby or Yoshi game to any% - the only stages I ever timed out on were Oh ****! and War, even Crumbling Tower of Pizza was a first try for me.

Then again, I also thought Crash 4 was easy, so take my opinions with a grain of salt.

I like that Nintendo went out of their way to announce the Japanese rename of Foreman Spike on Twitter instead of just dropping a new game and expecting fans to figure it out on their own. A type of transparency that, while small even for Japanese AAA studio standards, is very appreciated from Nintendo.

One element of PSASBR I think goes very underappreciated is the mere presence of Toro - a character who's games were Japan-exclusive up to that point. Keep in mind that PSASBR is a Western-developed game - even if Toro was just a Minion his presence would be impressive and a sign the devs did their research just as much as Polygon Man is. Smash doesn't even acknowledge Western-exclusive titles in Spirits. (unless you count character design changes like Elite Beat Agents and Rusty's Real Deal Baseball)

Additionally, while Toro's moveset is mostly parodies of other fighting games, I believe all his costumes are directly taken from the Toro games. Could be wrong on that though.

I had a dream where I went to a Disney-themed mall, and one of the staff members sung the Pepper Ann theme song and I stared at them disapprovingly - When I next walked past that same staff member, they sung the Happy Happy Joy Joy song from Ren and Stimpy to test me, and when I didn't pay them any mind they aggressively shouted at and threatened me for being annoyed with the Disney cartoon song at the Disney mall and not the non-Disney cartoon song.

Continuing from that last post, when people talk about a "celebration of gaming" Smash, I feel they don't realise that such a thing - if achieved correctly - wouldn't just be "MASTER CHIEF VS KRATOS VS MARIO VS INSERT YOUR CHOICE OF VALVE REP HERE OMG but no ness and captain falcon

" - but instead a quarter of the roster being comprised of characters from games that never got released in America, an even bigger chunk being F2P and mobile game characters, 3 separate abstract 70s spaceships as playable fighters, Minecraft Alex as a fully unique fighter, the Nintendo representation being almost entirely things like Brain Training and Nintendogs, Giant Enemy Crab and All Your Base jokes, and a complete neglect for fan demand.

Of course, I know this and still want such a game anyway. We are not the same.

The reason I don't like the idea of Smash being "an epic war between good and evil" and prefer it just being pals hanging out with some weird bloodless bloodsport is honestly really prudish - that a lot of the fighters are kids or non/semi-anthro animals, and the idea of even an anti-hero like Bayonetta - let alone an unambiguous hero-to-all like Sonic or Pac-Man - bludgeoning poor little Toon Link or Yoshi in any context other than a sport is offputting - hell, one of the fighters is literally just a baby animal!
