
Before anyone misinterprets this, I'm not saying these dark/adult elements are bad (though there are some here where I do think the adult elements were handed poorly), but rather than I find the culture around dark/adult moments in kids' media extremely obnoxious, and that a lot of media - especially that which is either on the obscure side, has an overly cute aesthetic, or predates the nostalgia range of the average internet user - can end up being reduced to those scenes alone in the public eye.
