I think CN PTE and PSASBR are both worse games than Ultimate, but there's also a lot more ideas, character choices, and features from them I appreciate over Ultimate.
IMO there are two Nintendo newcomers that would be justifiable additions to a full COGH Smash: a Nintendogs rep (be that a dog or Ted & Archie) and Goomba. Otherwise I think every grand-scheme important Nintendo character is already there.
A Min Min moveset even partially themed around restaurant ownership would've been way better than what we got.
I don't get why fart jokes make people so mad
Movie conspiracy theorists will be like "this PROVES the shared universe!" and it's literally one movie's characters watching the other as a fictional movie.
Nonsensically vague allegories and shoe replacement aside, the M&Ms rebrand is kinda weird to me (someone who knows way too much about M&M commercial lore) because they're trying to take the marketing in a more wholesome direction, which isn't a bad idea alone since that seems to be a trend lately after the meta snarkfest of the 2010s, but like... why keep the spokescandies? They're iconic, sure, but they were made for the dark comedy that was big in the late 90s - with the "dumb fat guy and smart snarky guy" dynamic - and not wholesome scenarios about someone's family accepting their full-body tattoos - whenever Red gets a snarky line in it feels out of place, a new candy cast would work a whole lot better.
What the hell does "Giving LEGS their SNAKES Back" mean? I think this is actually the dumbest recommendation I've ever gotten

I really like how every character in CNPTEXL has the same evil alt, I'd like to see Smash do something like that.
The purple M&M music video feels like it's supposed to be an allegory for some social issue, but is also completely undecipherable when viewed from such a lens
The idea of Clayfighter becoming to claymation what Mortal Kombat is to horror movies is a very funny idea, but also an objectively terrible one. I can't really imagine Aardman or Laika characters fitting in with CF's irreverant and unapologetically cartoony cast - plus the series already utilises parody and therefore could just make it's own wildly hilarious fair use-protected satirical characters like "Pingore" or "Frankenweiner" who could have the fart jokes and edgy one-liners their source material would prohibit.
I'm watching a response collab to Mr. Enter's Nicktoons review series, and I find it kinda funny how the reviewers with animal or white avatars say "Nick-O-Rama" very carefully and hesitantly while the reviewers with black avatars say it super fast.
I've never been too keen on "all the bad things have been reversed!" endings, but this one was kinda genius - N learning the truth about F's childhood and getting to redo the incident, or in other words: now N knows his ABCs, next time he'll let F sing with him.
I know it's just a case of the thread having a small playerbase and a certain member of it (me) being obsessed with Shrek and noses, but I love how the Expand-A-Franchise thread adds next to no content from games that released between Ultimate and whatever form this thread's content takes in-universe

I think one thing people often forget about the ballot was that fan rules weren't really questioned at the time like they are now - the results don't reflect current day Smash fandom. If Cloud was the first unique DLC instead of Ryu or made the base game I imagine the results would've been a lot different. Still dominated by Nintendo-associated characters mind you, but Chief, Kratos, and Sans certainly would've shot up at least. There was way more anti-PS and non-Rare-Xbox sentiment in Smash fandom at the time than now, to the point Kratos and Chief were outright considered jokes, and I don't think it really died down until SSBU's DLC.
I think a Mii successor should build off of Miitomo's editing functions, but also allow parts to be placed in areas other than the face and rotated on the Z axis so Miis are more distinct in games where they're seen from the back. Would probably have to make some good ol' Lego Universe Dong Detection Software and discontinue costumes for Miis in games like Smash and Mario Kart though.
I really wish there were more Sonic multiplayer (specifically sports) spin-offs. I think a franchise that revolves around speed could have a lot of fun takes on classic genres.

It'd be released on a Nintendo Direct, and begin with Bowser driving the Koopa Chase on Rainbow Road, before being hit by a Blue Shell - Mario in the Pipe Frame drives past the knocked-out Koopa King and is about to use a Mushroom - but in barely enough time for the audience to process, Homer bangs him out of the way in INSERT SIMPSONS KART HERE - Luigi and Bart then drive by in INSERT OTHER SIMPSONS KART HERE and the Clown Car respectively, with Homer trying to grasp Bart's neck but not being fast enough - then it pans up to a slowed down close-up of a wheel reading THE MUPPET SHOW as a drumroll plays before speeding up and zoming out to reveal Kermit in the Electric Mayhem van, bumping Bart out of the way as the two green fellows compete for first place, before an basketball falls into Kermit's hands - he plays hot potato with Luigi as their hands being off the wheels make them drift off the track before the basketball explodes... WINNER OF THE CURRENT CAR JOB is seen going straight into the camera, before panning up to reveal Sans is driving them - it then zooms out to show a TV screen that the entire Generix Prix family are watching - cue logo and console avaliablity details. It closes on a scene of Sans on the podium, with Kermit being a good sport and Luigi not so much - a dialogue box shows up above Sans - "*guess i was.. *bone for this!" - and Fozzie Bear pops up to shout "Wocka Wocka!" -
