I do think Ultimate is a good competitive game (at least to watch), but for a game with this big a budget to include so little stage options for, and a few characters *cough*Min Min*cough*Hero who come off as being designed specifically to not appeal to, its most devoted players is inexcusable - especially with the garbage hazards off switch.
It kinda feels like Sakurai and his team are running off assumptions about competitive play rather than doing the necessary research. It's good he's trying (which is better than with Brawl at least) but as someone who doesn't play competitive even I can tell that Namco can do better.
