  • So all the support threads are just being shut down? I don’t see why they can’t just stay up seeing as how a lot of communities and friendships on this site are based around the threads and might be awkward elsewhere. And the threads are mostly for discussions of the series anyway.
Kinda weird how morioh from jjba part 4 is apparently a “tourist site” even though it’s just a random small town in japan. If people are vacationing in japan I don’t really think they’d want to go to a random small town to see a rock that looks like a face

It's probably a tourist site in the same way that the mystery shack from Gravity Falls is.

    Including the face rock

    Venus of the Desert Bloom
People will travel to a god-forsaken stretch of land just to view a mound of naturally formed rocks. Hell, people in Tokyo pay hundreds of dollars to vacation in ritual parts of Japan just to plant or harvest rice for a few days.

I’ll never forget when I had a friend from the States came and visit. We were driving to an onsen and we saw six buses full of people (pre-COVID) with tags marked as Tokyo. My friend asked me what they were doing and I said “They spent nearly $1,000 and a three hour bus ride to just come up here and plant rice in nearby farms. You know…experience the “old and slow way of life”…and to get out of the city.” He was shocked.

Mind you, they were doing this during covid time, too. And infecting entire rural towns composed of old people while doing it. But that tourism money was too much to pass up. I suppose some had to take a bullet since the government was literally paying people to go vacationing/sightseeing during summer 2020.

Whenever I have to do a “Shoryuken motion” in fighting games, I always just do down-forward twice.
it’s really inconvenient when that’s also the motion of a super combo the character has but hey it works
Can’t believe mat pat hasn’t made any videos on squid game yet. Might be because the entire first season dropped at once but it’s still pretty surprising. Especially because (I don’t know if it’s just my recommendations but) if you look up “film theory” on youtube a squid game video made by someone else is like, the third thing that pops up

i mean he’ll probably have like five out by the time everyone’s done talking about it though lmao
I don’t know where people seemed to have gotten this idea that most of the smash community wants “fourth party” characters but it’s ridiculous. Its the same as it’s always been any barely anyone wants those.

I’m guessing they saw a few people saying donald and goofy should have been in sora’s taunts and from that somehow grew to think a majority of the community wants non-game characters to be playable now

I also feel there's a little too much animosity towards non-game characters in Smash communities - sure, if someone's arguing Goku could or should be in I can understand that, but if someone just suggests "what if SpongeBob was in Smash?" as a moveset talking point, makes a fangame or mod with Godzilla or Batman, or thinks Sora should've had Donald and Goofy cameos there's nothing wrong there IMO.
It may seem really weird when fact checking sites put a false information warning on the smallest things that don’t matter at all but seeing as how people on the internet will believe literally anything I don’t blame them.

Remember when an obvious satire twitter account said that 4000 people died because a minions game removed the ability to call 911? It obviously didn’t happen because it would be on national news if it did, but for some weird reason there were actually a lot of people who believed it or wondered if it was real and they weren’t even joking
I know this’ll sound weird but when I first played ace attorney trilogy it took me so long to get through the game (in fact almost a year because I took really long breaks between cases and played games in between. I almost stopped playing at turnabout big top) that it almost felt like the games were a stage of my life. It’s been months since I’ve last beat the trilogy and yet I still get such a surreal feeling when I think about how I finished the game. I’m sure it’ll be much more surreal when I beat great ace attorney chronicles and the games with apollo justice
Isn’t konami using the name “castlevania advance collection” technically infringing on nintendo’s copyright since they own the name “gameboy advance”? Knowing nintendo, it’s a little strange they let them use the name and come to other platforms
I feel like vertical shooters are pretty fun a lot of the time but I have never enjoyed a horizontal shooter. I don’t know if it’s just a coincidence or the movement has something to do with it but, on average, horizontal shooters are way less interesting than vertical ones
I think a super smash bros movie could actually be pretty good, just as long as they don’t turn it into a nintendo cinematic universe or something. Maybe have the mario characters as they appear in the animated movie and the pokemon as they appear in the anime (I don’t really think detective pikachu would work) or even sonic as he appears in the movies if they want to include him but that’s it and making movies for every IP included would be a pretty bad idea.
I don’t know why people, aside from memes, say kirby has complicated lore. Like there are people who aren’t joking when they say it has some of the most complicated lore out of all nintendo series but that’s really not true.

Sure it has a lot of things that are weirdly creepy and a little dark for a kids game and there’s some lore but I don’t really think it’s that complicated like some people say it is
    Wario Wario Wario
    Wario Wario Wario
A lot of the things people act like Kirby is so much better than other scrimblo platformers for are things that also apply to those very series.

Crash Bandicoot has dark lore and between-game character development; Mario has fought god-like threats and pulled off beyond-imagination feats; Pac-Man has been welling to delve into darker locales and tones from time to time. I don't know what makes Kirby so special.

Ok but damn the in universe referencing is absolutely insane. So many random things tie back to other things in the past, it gets complicated after awhile.
I do think NASB should get voice acting if they get the budget for it but I don’t really think it should have that many voice lines for each character. Not any more than smash ultimate does.
I feel like aang in NASB should have had the same “gimmick” Byleth’s moveset had with air being for his up and neutral attacks, water and fire being for his side attacks and earth being for his down attacks. Or maybe have fire for his down attacks and just don’t have him use earth moves since toph has those
Kinda weird how they titled it "mass effect legendary edition" but the game includes the whole trilogy. It makes it sound like it's just a remaster of one game not the whole trilogy and I actually thought it was at one point lol. But for real, it's pretty weird for a remaster of a whole trilogy
wait so the reason the main team finds out that deok-su's team knows about the games in advance is that someone points out they had no female team members before the tug of war?

that literally makes no sense, before the tug of war the main team also tried to get mostly male people on their team. And wasn't mi-neyo kicked off at the same time everyone else was deciding on teams?
Funny how whenever you hear people talking about squid game characters they just show a picture of them and say “this guy” because they can’t remember korean names
Damn, demon slayer hasn't even released season 2 yet? I respect that they're not overworking their animators (i mean they probably still are but whatever) but still man thats slow. I've already read the finished manga so i dont really have any interest in the anime
"Conker got in smash remix so it would be fine if he got in ultimate!"

ah yes because a smash fangame where the characters are all n64 era graphics, barely have voice acting, and have super simple movesets is exactly the same as a big budget fighting game hyperfocused on making characters as similar as possible to their games, and has lots of aspects of the each game represented.

seriously though isnt the whole appeal of him the fact that he does inappropriate things that cant be replicated in a game like smash? none of what makes him a special character could be replicated. Smash remix could do it well because the animations and moves are simple and the n64 style means his personality can be shown without needing M-rated content.

Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario That's cuz it is. It's not even a glitch because they had the same feature in previous games and make it so you can only transfer the save data a limited number of times because they know that it's there so that you can EXPLOIT it by getting duplicates of rare high level monsters you normally wouldn't be able to. You're wrong. Get over it. Probably is best to stay quiet if you're so petty that you hold a grudge that long over getting proven wrong.

Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule Those things still tie into his M Rating. It's also silly to act like Smash has ever cared about moveset faithfulness until only recent additions anyway considering Green Missile doesn't exist in Mario lore. You only invalidate your own point anyway if Remix did it so well to begin with.

Wait what are you even trying to say in your point about moveset faithfulness? It might just be me and I mean no offense by this but it’s barely even cohesive and I can’t even understand what you’re saying. You’re saying it’s silly to believe smash has only cared about moveset faithfulness recently but then you give an example of a move from smash 64 that was completely made up? What point are you trying to argue? Genuine question.

Also I’ve previously explained why I believe smash remix did it well but recent smash games can’t really

You kinda answer your own question. A good number of moves are completely made up and have no real faithfulness to the lore of the character until only recently.

There's a pretty good reason why Ultimate Ganondorf using his sword for Smash attacks is considered such a big deal among dozens of examples.

The point is moveset faithfulness would mean anything if it was even consistent in official Smash games to begin with, but it isn't.
It would be just simply horrible if venom from the movies appeared in the mcu.

I've never really thought venom and spiderman had a good dynamic anyway.
    ZoroCarlos
    ZoroCarlos
I mean, regardless of your opinion about their dynamic or the MCU, which I won't argue, you can't deny that Venom is very easily Spidey's most popular rival.

Popularity by itself justifies Venom's insertion into the MCU in the post credits even if the reasoning wasn't explained yet (was obviously Dr. Strange bs).

Now, at least this time around they had two movies of development so we can understand their characters instead of being shoe-horned in the last minute with a crap motivation by the higher ups like the last trilogy. The movies aren't anything spectacular, but the best parts about them is definitely the Eddie and Venom banter. So naturally I believe it's a smarter choice to just move the currently active Venom over to the MCU than just cast a third new one.

Though, with that said, if Venom is part of the already cluttered fireworks show that is going to be No Way Home, then yes I completely agree with you. That would be putrid. At most he should be a post credits scene teasing the sequel.

Give him a starring role with Spider-Man with some kind of good cop bad cop dynamic. Venom 2 seems to have hinted at Knull appearing, so maybe they both can take him on and bounce off each other doing so. I think there's definitely potential for Tom Hardy Venom, but it's going to be a matter of waiting and seeing.
If I had a nickel for every time a cartoon network character from the 2010s could inexplicably go super saiyan for some weird reason I would have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice

in case you’re wondering theyre gumball and pops from regular show. Yes one technically debuted on Cartoon Network in 2009 but whatever
Okay you know what annoys me? A few months ago I posted a comment on a youtube video where I said the one wing on sephiroth in smash is inspired by advent children but it actually originated in kingdom hearts so that series is technically represented in smash.

Anyways I now got like five replies today alone all saying something along the lines of “well this aged poorly” YES, I CAN TELL SORA IS IN SMASH! How about you look at the five thousand other comments saying the exact same thing? And plus c’mon you’re just explaining the obvious here. This annoys me ally more than is probably should but still don’t do that.
I remember in kindergarten they showed my class a video scaring us to not lick poles in the cold because our tongue would get stuck but somehow at least two people did it anyway
