I think as sort of a compromise, trophies should come back in the next smash game but have them still be 2D drawings like spirits only it’s original art and everything is basically under a unifying artstyle besides the obvious difference in tone each series has. There would definitely be less than the amount of spirits ultimate has but still more than the amount of trophies we usually have so I don’t think it would be too big a deal.
