I played the original final fantasy as like a discovering videogame history thing and I knew garland was the main antagonist and he transforms into chaos at the end but I thought that meant he’s the final boss and chaos is his second form not that you kill him in the first 3 minutes and then he comes back at the end as chaos

The “Yes you can haz cheeseburger… That’s racist!” line from skullgirls was probably one of the most I’ve laughed at a videogame. This is not because it’s funny but because the confidence and earnestness with which they said one of the most poorly aged meme references in videogame history is incredible.

To me one of the reasons that FNAF works but something like poppy playtime doesn’t (in the context of its horror) is that animatronics are a thing that can actually be genuinely scary if it was alive and wanted to kill you and it makes you think about the potential danger of an ordinary thing. Animatronics are already a little unnerving too already. With Huggy on the other hand… there’s only so much horror you can derive from a bootleg tickle me elmo with fangs

If I’m not mistaken I believe in expand a franchise we just recently added the first spirit to have, in the original source material, been exclusive to a region other than Japan or America.

The fact that people at the oscars and golden globes will constantly be making jokes about the ceremonies being sexist or racist and it’s seen as normal and non-controversial is so messed up especially because the people organizing them do almost nothing to actually properly address it.

Obviously the games not out yet but from all the marketing and trailers assassins creed mirage seems like it will fix a lot of problems with the series and it makes me genuinely so excited for not only the game but the series future. An Assassins Creed game being made without RPG elements or a sprawling open world and actually making the setting, you know, a city is just really neat to me.
