I feel like Smash having more rotating casts where characters come and go more frequently from game-to-game would be perfect for serieses like Mario where there are a ton of characters that people want (like Birdo, Waluigi, Goomba, etc.) but there are still already a ton of characters in the roster. This way, much more of these characters can have time to shine without having to bloat the roster with a lot of a specific series.

Anyone else ready for a ton of stuff from that solo peach game to also be shoved into Peach Smash Bros fan reworks alongside Super Princess Peach?

I am irrationally angry that the comments for the Wario laughing video are mostly just timestamping the part where it vaguely sounds like he's screaming and not the rest of the video where he's like... laughing. It's basically a perfect reaction video thing but people just decided to go with this really not-as-funny bit. Doesn't even sound that much like screaming.

I really don't like how every mainstream social media site has a different format. Cause when one of them does something really bad and a lot of people leave, you can't really go to another one without shifting your experience greatly. I wish there were more popular copycats out there.

There should be a thing where the first installment is named like "[INSERT NAME] 1" and the second is called "[INSERT NAME]". 1 has escaped titles for too long.

Idk why I've been having a full-on character arc about the Zelda CDi games recently with the posts about liking their cutscenes and music but I just played the remastered PC port versions of them and honestly... I think they're pretty good games. They're not masterpieces or anything but they're some decently fun action-adventure games. While it can be a little cryptic about where to go next sometimes and a little grindy for certain frequently used items, I think the general gameplay and cutscenes actually make up for it. Plus, they're not really long games, pretty sure they can both be beaten in about less than an hour.

I also think it's really neat seeing all of these cutscenes that I've seen so much in YTPs in their original context. And while these cutscenes may be jank, there's still a certain charm to them. Also the backgrounds in the actual gameplay are actually kinda beautiful in my opinion, it looks like you're playing on a painting.

I don't wanna raise your expectations too much, as I feel like it's one of those games where it's much better if you don't expect the world. I'd say it's about on the level of some nice flash fangame with an oddly high amount of animation. It's not amazing, but it's still a good, short and sweet, game. I'd say give the games a shot, they're actually kinda good.

I feel Mario 35 is like, one of the few games where the "publisher behind them with a knife" thumbnail is justified.

If you submit like, 1000 posts in a day but they're all unique genuine new content that you have written yourself and isn't just the same thing over and over again or something, would it be considered spam or not?

I visited the Sonic Fangames HQ page for Annalynn and found a familiar symbol.

I think it'd be kinda cool if a creation thread had a job to add a flaw to the game. Nothing game-ruining, but like a little annoyance.

Because of the whole "Sonic spawns two Flickies for his down smash" stuff and other things on Smashboards I actually tried out Flicky and honestly it's a pretty banger game.

I'd like to see a creation thread that has in-universe "development troubles," like jobs with big restrictions, having to cut content, etc.

I reallydon't like when a video of a custom Pizza Tower level the creator made shows all of the secrets. It's most likely that these videos will beaa lot of viewer's first experience of the level and spoiling where the secrets are tends to rob people of some of the fun of playing the level in my eyes.

I wonder how many great things are out there that aren't out publicly because the people who made them don't think they're "good enough."

I've thought of making a crossover platform fighter fangame with just a bunch of things I like, and I just realized that if a game like that where one person calls the shots got a popular speculation scene like Smash, it'd be really weird. Imagine someone using something like "they submitted Maractus to DriDim once, so it's likely they'll get in" as evidence.

Do you think 9-Volt from Warioware is super staunchly against emulation for any reason because Nintendo said so or has like a million different emulators downloaded and the complete libraries of multiple consoles?

In a way similar to the tilt/stick smash being not that great for casual players by being hard to execute, I feel that dash attacks are also bad for casual players by being too easy to accidentally use. I feel that many casual players will be running to move most of the time, and the usual high endlag of dash attacks can put them in a bad situation.

They should make liquid Wario.

On my laptop, my Linux partition has literally 0 bytes of storage left and I can only login to the root account and my Windows partition can't access the internet and the fans start whirring if I idle for too long for some reason.

I just got (accidentally, maybe?) clickbaited by Sakurai's cancelled games video. I thought he was gonna talk about some cancelled games he got to work on and I was actually really interested, but he just talked about cancelled games in general.

Expanding on the previous post I made about Captain N, I'm honestly considering running a creation thread for "Captain N-ifying" the Smash Ultimate Roster. But that kind of thing seems like it would eventually turn into just one or two people contributing per job due to the creativity and effort needed. I may just do it as a solo project.

If Captain N was rebooted then Master Hand should be in it but he should be called "Master Hands" and just be some guy with a lot of hands who's really good at fighting.

Samus's Smash 4 render is incredibly bad. It almost looks like the "A Pose" that some 3D models are in by default before any actually posing gets done.

Platform fighters should stop making CPUs gray. I don't have friends or the skills to play online but I still wanna see the cool colors.

People really need to stop comparing platform fighters to each other. Both for the good of discussion and the games themselves.

I feel like a "competitive style" Smash game should have tools to help new players get into more competitive ways of play with even basic stuff like wavedashing and edgeguarding. And I'm not even talking about tutorials, I'm talking about stuff like an "assistance mode" that helps you get a feel for things in an actual game while making it a bit easier.
