That's what I was thinking.

Just looking at my options after running into a problem with a very campy snake out here that I couldn't figure out last tourney. I feel like ZSS can deal with it decently on a smaller, BF type, stage if their aggro game is good though.

Don't start on FD.
NEVER START ON FD!
Do I need to repeat that?
NEVER EVER START ON FINAL DESTINATION THROUGH THE STAGE-STRIKING PROCESS!

Take a Snake to BF, or even SV first match if you can.

Win there, then take them somewhere gay match 3.

I wouldn't ever bring a Snake to FD. Not even as Diddy.

My general thought process on playing both characters is. One loves plats and the other doesn't. So it covers stages opposed to match ups.

I'm thinking if I Snake can screw me through hard camping than ZSS on BF might be a good idea though.

I just feel helpless vs him and I don't like being a liability to my team if I don't have to :<

its true that you shouldn't think about 1 v 1 situations all the time when talking of teams, but I don't like that the only solution I was able to come up with was "run away, get praxis to handle wario [hopefully]"



Campy Snakes make you take lots of risks, which is kinda bad seeing how easy snake can **** us with his punishments.

If the snake is adamant about not approaching, it gets a little hard.

And the Wario's strategy was "run away from Praxis because he bairs and get the ZSS" :x

its a incredibly simple imput that substantially decreases the chance of rolling.

I'll try and get to it later, but I will say that it is a pretty interesting MU, and pretty fun. You have to approach it in a pretty weird way. I've done the MU plenty of times right now, and I honestly have to admit that there is quite a bit of gray area of uncertainty as to what works for both chars in the MU. I mean, I think I know just about everything as far as "what beats what" but as to general approaches and other stuff it's def a bit awkward. I feel really comfortable and confident when I play the MU though (if that makes sense :S) , even against Jash and other high-end TL players.

... That was over a month ago.

I am so sorry it's taken me this long to respond concerning that topic, I've had to deal with meeting lots of new people, local tournaments, and college admission; which is why I haven't had the chance to say anything.

But here I am; and I have the data he/you guys might be looking for.

Since I'm not familiar with how this board is run, and unless I'm already in the right place, could you show me where you guys keep the frame-data, or wherever the data will be appropriate? I can put it there and I guess that'll leave it at that.

How do you guys feel about dash attack?

Lately I've felt that dtilt is better in almost every situation, because it's safer on shield and comes out faster, and if you whiff, it's still pretty safe. The only time I use dash attack now is if I hit with a paralyzer and need a quick follow-up or to punish a tech.

Even when you are trying to cover your dsmash lag with an attack (something NickRiddle started doing and is a huge huge huge deal and everyone else should do it) dash attack isn't as good as dtilt unless you spaced it far away or read really hard.

Dash attack is one of our overall best punishment moves IMO

If you're chasing an opponent down, and they airdodge away for instance, DA. It's a very good option if you've hit them in the 30 degree angle right above the stage where they have to choose to airdodge jump or attack, as you're going to want to dash not walk in that situation

It's also good for interrupting the flow of an opponent's game because of how it changes your positioning. Imagine MK dashing at you for example. He might plan on running in and shielding at dtilt/dsmash range, anticipating those attacks. DAing in can interrupt him before he shields if you mess with his timing

Using DA a couple times (even if you get punished) also conditions your opponent to shield when you're running at them, which makes mixups like pivot grabs and dash SH away side b much safer.

Bad diddy kong players will just DA grab banana , which is a nono , so easy to read/punish that

We dont have the grab option but tilts can normally punish, when he goes past our sheild with DA just turn around and punish, just have some one do it until you get it right, then let them give mixs ups like glide toss down DA or something until you just relize its a bad option or diddy

I think it's only a matter of time until people figure out that any character that has to jump to win - Excluding Marth, MK, and somehwat Wario - get ***** by ZSS.
