wait why are you approaching falcon? if you're gonna approach do turnip->fc fair, but falcon is so approach oriented that if you even think about baiting him then he'll run it. just throw turnips at him until he does something.
You don't really want to approach falcon by committing to a move like that. Approaching with a turnip is good but you should just float behind the turnip and see what he does. If he shields then yeah you can drop a fc fair and grab or just drop and grab. If he jumps you can usually get him with a quick nair and if he wavedashes back then you might not want to attack just land and jab if he tries to grab or sh float back with a fair. Oh and if he rolls then you can go for a fair out of his roll if you're close or waveland dash attack is good too.

^ good advice.

I'm starting to notice the importance of Peach's Fair in this match up. Hax and I go pretty even in friendlies now as opposed to the slaughter it was a few months ago. Spaced Nair can trade with his aerials.. which is good =D

I didnt say I was approaching, I said falcon is approaching. I hardly approach, unless under the cover of platforms.

Which way is it best to DI his uair?
D-throw?

Di downthrow down and away from falcon. (I forget if joystick or c-stick is better for this, but I usually use the joystick). At low percentages you can usually mash nair before he comes rushing at you with his knee full of ****. Don't be predictable about it though because he might just wait for the nair and regrab.

At high percentage, you might try up and towards for survival di.

To di up-air ...... try di-ing behind him? I dunno, that's a good move. Luckily he can only really use it when you're at high % and above him. If he approaches you with it, cc-dsmash that ****.

Speaking of di. I'm still falling for god****ed f-throw to f-smash. I feel like di-ing away is just putting me into tipper range instead of past it. This is at low percentages btw.

I thought it was either hold away or hold down + away with the joystick.... Does anyone have any input?

cping you to Mute at a MDZ tourney
cheap peach if he's approaching you then you can CC the nair and dsmash or whatever you like, or you can shield it and then nair. For the most part I just try to float above shuair height and use fair to punish whatever he does.
at low percents I usually di the dthrow up and get off light. Later I DI it down and out and try to tech.

I'm mainly taking about knee or uair for an approach, if you CC knee, you get pushed back too far to do anything, if you shield it, he can L-cancel it -> jab (3 hit jab cancel), seemingly without punishment.
If I float, he approaches with an u-air (the reach of it is longer than fair, right?) then I'm forced to land.
Questions:
What aerials of falcon's does nair beat? Or is it just useful for its speed?
Does bair work well as an anti-aerial move vs falcon?

Maybe we just play against falcons of different style, the guy I play was trained (more than anyone else) under the late Nesn00b.

actually if falcon spaces his nair properly you can't cc dsmash him I dont think.

you can STILL float and do fairs on him and its a lot harder for him to uair than you'd think. He pretty much has to overshoot his uair to beat your fair if you space it right.

Yea, I warmed up against Cactuars Falcon at Genesis, and he was just spacing the crap out of his nairs. I couldnt CC downsmash at all.

@Cheap-Peach - The default way to beat falcon's aerials is to shield and nair out of shield. Back air also works nicely if you are good at fc-ing it. That said, I don't mean to just wait for him to attack you ( although sometimes you'll have to because he's just faster than you ). Generally I would just dash dance as far out of his range as possible and make him whiff then try to punish with nair or dash attack. Remember, your nair beats or trades with just about all of his aerials and the faster you get it out, the less likely you are to trade.

Sorry to be so vague, but I'd need to see what's going on to be more specific. I'm just thinking of the falcons that I face and what works and doesn't work on them.

Yea, you prolly dont remember me.

It was right before the match I lost, and I came over to the TV and said I had a tourny match, and you asked who the guy played. I said Falcon, and you went Falcon, and I could not get passed your spacing.

Lol @ name searching.

I placed 4th at Saffron losing to Hax + Jman. Got second in teams with G$ (also losing to Hax + Jman). Vids are going up now.. I was pretty off so all I did was DADS my way up the bracket  but I got a few **** combos in =D

But I got to play like FOUR foxes so maybe the vids will help anyone struggling with the Fox match up.

Was this a 'serious' tourney match, or did you kind of know you had it so sandbagged a bit?
>_>

Just asking because...you change what you're doing dramatically at several points (pretty much directly related to %, whether it was you fresh from losing a stock, them fresh from losing a stock as well as both being high %.

And essentially the only time you even took significant punishment for anything was when you were doing the semisandbagging stuff in the same situation over and over accordingly.

Not sure if you don't care cause you were sandbagging or just haven't notice. That's just something of a habbit I've noticed in almost every vid I've watched of you, doubles and singles (only seen your jiggs and peach, both the same thing occurs and against everyone it seems)

No big deal really, just my thoughts on something I observed (possibly nothing and just coincidence in those matches). Don't take me too seriously, lol. :\

Teco - I live for Uair tech chases. That and platform waveland grabs (like a Sheik =D)
Your Uair stuff is really nice.
Also, if you remember last time I watched something of you, I commented here on your use of Bair. Since then I've been using it more as well, and it's beautiful, you partially inspired me to use my *** more. :)

Platform waveland to grab is something I like doing with Marth. Nobody expects the grab, everyone lightshields expecting utilts etc...
Braincramps all around. >_>

lol vanz, you are off to a good start with the DADS, though you missed a couple double dsmash opportunities, there were a few too many floating arials you threw out that kinda made it seemed like you DADS less, deciving, might have to try it sometime

nice fsmashes, though you didn't seem to get the right ones at the right time, it's ok i know it's hard to be as lucky as me ;)

also no upsmashes?? other then that good stuff, keep it up, you're DADS will be in full force... well maybe they are more so full force, i did only watch that one match lol

No wonder my peach sucks I don't do DADS at all :(.

Upair tech chases are way too good, I've started using it too. And I also do waveland grabs, though waveland dsmashes looks like it'd be a nice KO tactic =D

Vanz - You should upload our matches first, then tell me when they're uploaded =D. From my smashfest I mean :). I wanna watch our peach dittos actually.

Thanks, I'm still fairly new at it, so give me some time ;)

In all seriousness, that's probably going to be my secondary style for when I'm really not playing well (like at saffron), let's see how far it can take me =D

God, if you learned the DADS, you should just drop Fox/Sheik and just main Peach. Your Peach is the most impressive I've ever seen, you just need a little more tournament exp. w/ her.

Oh, and I'll most likely upload those dittos when I get home =]

I'm definitely gonna continue practicing her and gonna try to use her in more spots.

I used her once against Jman and Mogwai anyway. I'll try to use her more often.

I like having multiple characters at my disposal though. It makes you a little scarier. I think you know what I mean ;)

Ganon Peach is massively destructive. The two cover each other's blind spots, saves are a piece of cake, you both move slow but cover SO much area w/ attacks.

Ganon is probably Peach's best teammate. I recommend it.

Fox is better. Xelic/Linguini are the best Peach/Ganon team but sometimes their limitations shine through

Kage + Vwins do this team pretty well too. These two just control space so well it's crazy. and it's pretty much what macd + apollo said. This team ***** really hard.

I wish I could find a good ganon to team with, but they're even rarer than Peach players.. lol

Teco - Peach dittos are going up now, I'll post them when they're finished

vanz... after watching u play for the first time today... you have officially moved up as one of my favorite peach players next to armada. mainly cuz, i watched u comeback from a 2 stock lead and win twice in a row =).

EDIT: and now TecZero... I haven't really seen any peaches cept vidjo's, armada, and Pink shinobi.

Btw, i really enjoyed the puff vs peach game lol

ganon peach is good? O_o I always thought it wasnt that good because of how slow both characters are but now I wanna keep trying it, I have a solid ganon to team with too.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPbpg9RvNhs&feature=sub

check out my first kill, has anyone seen this before? I light shielded and it somehow pushed sheik far enough so she couldn't grab the ledge (but she was also facing the other way, I wonder if he just messed up himself somehow). I've never seen this done before.

Hey everyone,
I want to improve my peach. In order to that I need to work on my techskill.
Unfortunately I dont have a TV on which i can practise (stupid lag tvs.. )
no i'm going home for 2 months, visit my family, and while i'm there i want
to improve my techskill. Before I do that I need to know what are the best
training strategys and what needs to be practised. What i'm thining of right now is
especially:
float Cancels OOS -> As an instance: if fox upsmash hits your shield, punish him with FC Nair OOS. In generel FC Nairs and Bairs OOS.
Then I need to work on my float canceled nairs out of dash. I guess the faster they are, the better it is.
Turnip approaches and faster FC Fairs on SH height. I try to them as fast as I can, while get the spacing right.
Fc Nair to Tap A, to FC Nair is also i think i'd like to practise ( peach pillaring, lol).

Then i thought i might work on my wavedashes. Sometimes i got the feeling they are too short. Also my wavedashes oos could be better, i mess them up too often.

Is there anything else i can practise in 1player mode? Other stuff then needs to perfect in a match? I'm glad about any advise/suggestion!
