So, I was playing Teczero tonight, and he used Fox for a few and it went something like this:

dtilt > dash attack > falling fair off stage



I wish that recorded.

But actually I played 483902849302 Peach dittos with him and they were some of the best I've ever played. Yay, fun! Just wish we had all those recorded cause we kinda gayed each other.

No one invites me to anything T_T

I still like the game, I just don't have much time for it. Always something else to do. I don't even like facebook.. but it helps to kill time every now and then.

btw, has anyone found a good use for melee glide tossing? I still can't think of anything =/

There isn't much I can say because I believe you played well, Marth is just a tough match up. But you didn't win so obviously you could have done better. It's really important to learn the Marth player's habits so you can play the Bait + Punish game.

And also, do some camping. You were so XIF in that match haha. Marth's love the aggressive Peach because it means he doesn't have to work as hard at approaching. **MARTH HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO APPROACH PEACH AT ALL TIMES. find a way to make that work for you and you're good.

I really need help with the marth matchup. I lost to a marth a lot, LOT worse than me on Yoshi's. unnacceptable. I played the matchup what I consider correctly, approaching with turnips and dash attacking the double fair. I just couldn't get inside. Any tips?

Also, gay stuff to do vs. falco. I've got a tourney coming up and I want to place top 5.

Well obviously the Marth wasnt that worse than you, or you wouldnt have lost. Its very easy to punish mistakes and see openings agaisnt players that are considerably worse than you, even IF they have the character matchup.

He also could've known the Peach matchup better than you knew the Marth one.

Or you could just suck on Yoshi's. It IS the Marth stage.

I can beat any of his characters with any of mine on any stage. It is this one matchup that pains me on this one stage.
He isn't very good and has not played any peaches in the last year. I just got tippered a lot. D:

Holy cow; quoted for truth. I wish more players had this mentality.

But more seriously, if you find the float-height where all ground attacks BARELY miss, you can often bait a Marth into doing them anyway and punish w/ fast-fallen Fairs. Any short-hop aerial beats this strategy, though, so if you see them SHFLL'ing Fairs/Nairs, switch to a more grounded Peach and Dash Attack/Bair after the Fairs.

Another useful tip for Peaches: a good counter to Marth's attacks is shielding, angling your shield forward, then shield-DI'ing towards them. It covers a LOT of ground when they're attacking and makes you react faster (cuz the attack hits your shield sooner). After this just shield-grab or Nair out-of-shield to punish attacks. If Marth hits you with any Fsmash that isn't tipped, you have a guaranteed Grab after this (either shield-grab or Wavedash out of shield to grab).

but as spacies or falcon what do i do against peach\'s that float just above the height of the SH and spams Float cancel Fair. I can\'t approach with SH fair and if i try to double jump they\'ll just hit me. Do i just wait for them to fall. What do ppl generally do to hit you?

up-air them with falcon (in a sneaky way though, or they'll fair when the see you coming; which leads perfectly into that VVV)

Or try and find a pattern, and nair them (if we're still talking about Falcon) during the fairs startup time. I remember I used to spam FC fairs when playing against my friends Falcon in friendlies. I got DD camped, so I wasnt having fun...

If peach is float camping, she's vulnerable when she's decending from the float, IMO.
Still working on not getting gayed by fox. My ledge guards are solid, but I keep getting ****ed by shine combos. I need to bair more i think.

I'm starting to have trouble with the marth match-up again, too. It may just be a fluke ( see me getting frustrated and doing stupid things ) but I was playing some good marths last week and going even between losing by a stock and 2-3 stocking them and then when I played my friend yesterday ( he just counter-picks marth against my peach but otherwise doesn't use him) I was getting just flat out beaten.

It's always very demoralizing playing against him because he manages to beat me without doing anything really impressive (see actually using marth's grab). He just down tilts to mess up my dash dancing and camps up-tilt, fair, and forward-b when I'm above him or on a platform. When I try to camp turnips he fairs through them and into me or he manages to f-smash me as I'm pulling them.

I think that the fact that he tests me at all makes me angry and then do stupid things. He also always goes for the most humiliating kills on me every time, and therefore forces me to die a different way. For example, I can tell when he's fishing for a d-air spike after a combo, so I di up and away, but then he just up airs or fairs me and it kills me up or to the right.

I wish I could record so I could show you what I mean because this is quite frustrating. I guess I'll just have to try to camp and space harder than before and not get overworked.

Any help on the match-up ( Stage specific would be nice ) is appreciated.

On a lighter note, I landed d-tilt into upsmash into star k-o the other day on my friend's fox. It was amazing.

The Tennis Racket is my favorite of the 3. It's so devastating.

I've been wondering the same thing about the Fsmash since I got the game. There is no set pattern. I think they all have the same chance of coming out as well. It's just a random draw. It's like flipping a coin...just with the possibility of it landing on it's side balancing out.
