I would be a safe pick, but not a **** pick. Using a player that has higher counterpick potential would allow for a better option against a specific matchup, while I would be a safe play going in against anyone to remove stock without exposing the team to a heavy counterpick after. This is a crew battle where we have significant knowledge about all the players that can be involved, and won't likely have any "weakest link" players due to the caliber. Our team would probably benefit more from having a stronger counterpick player than a safe pick.

I originally typed up a huge, but incomplete guide on crews strategy regarding player, character, and stock value to include in this post, but decided against posting it. :laugh:

...why is qlex the only european ganon i know then? he sounds godlike, yet it feels like americans have a monopoly on ganon.

oh and swizzyUK...he seems pretty good too.
How many European Puffs do you know? Doesn't mean the character sucks.
There are a lot less players in Europe.

ignorance: exposed.

ajp, are you coming to this? if so, i'd like to play you...

cactuar, would you say that your playstyle makes you that safe pick, or just the fact that you play fox?

Its a combination of the two lol.

Speaking in terms of this crew battle though:

I am still probably a solid safe pick for normal crew battles, but I think there are several players who are currently better than me overall that could fill the same role with the level of play and pool of players involved in this crew battle. The only barrier is the team captain knowing how to use everyone else's abilities in various situations.

I could do a little decision play by play of the last 20 stock or so of the Genesis 1 crew battle from my perspective, if that would be interesting to anyone.

Lol, maybe man. I got braces, so I'd rather limit my facetime with cameras. Vanity and ****.

I'll do that writeup thingy later tonight, need to do work lol.

What I don't get is why wouldn't we just let crush play 32 stocks againt europe. He will probably only use half of that beating them anyways.
Or he will spend the time feeding us crumpets.
he'd do both...
he would feed you crumpets and leave his character to get *****
upon losing half his stocks he'd return to his controller and take all of the World crew without losing another stock ;)

Fun fact: Sheiks that stay away from her ground game and focus on aerial zoning and good platform usage do much better against ICs than normal Sheiks.

That is to say, the kind of Sheik you'll find in Europe because her grab game is much weaker thanks to her nerfed d-throw.

Amsah would **** on me.

Lol, no one wants to be on the US crew. Inb4 mango comes in and says that really, he's not a great choice, because Armada would probably **** all over him, and anyways, europeans know the spacies matchups too well.

But yeah,

Mango = Fox
PP = Falco
M2K = Marth
Hbox = Puff
Hax = Falcon
Wobbles = ICs
Axe = Pika
Jman = Fox

Not sure how that crew could lose anything. I'd still rather do regional crews, but I suppose fermenting the US as the dominant region will be fun nonetheless.

I honestly think this crew battle could be interesting, it only takes one person person doing really well or really poor to turn the momentum for either side.

S2J talks a bunch of ****, but it's never really in bad taste. He actually is really humble.

10 people out of a whole scene vs 200+ out of the other
+ another timezone, another (unbalanced+broken+buggy) version of the game and crowd advantage.
yes, it really proves a lot if the USA wins LOL

If "the world" would win, it'd basically more or less mean that they are about 3 times as good lol.

Consider it a sign of mercy that I haven't freeze glitched every single one of you with my buggy ICs.

Screw the PAL nerfs, bring back my glitch ;_;

LOL now I understand why you go to tournaments in the U.S.! If you lose it doesn't matter, but if you win it means you're 3x as good as they are. There's literally no way for you to do poorly at any NTSC tournament, it's genius.

Also it isn't 200 vs. 10, many of the best Europeans and Canadians are going so don't pretend it's like some barley known people who just happen to live outside of the U.S. competing against the U.S. crew.
