I agree, and I'd like to add on to the fact that if you truly believe that your character is competition viable, you should be able to prove it through tournament results. I recall you stating that you don't go to tournaments anymore; which is why I ask, how does your opinion matter any higher than any other person longing to be one of the SBR Elite? It doesn't, your words are just that; words without your own personal experiences in the competitive scene to back them up.The majority of people in the Smash Community don't care about characters that are clearly unviable for tournaments. The metagame of this game focuses on characters that are tournament viable, so obviously the SBR is going to stack itself with people that are knowledgeable about the viable characters. Really, if the SBR puts a crap character over another crap character because it doesn't know enough about both crap characters, not enough people are going to complain about it for it to be relevant. If a low-tier main finds this unfair and wants to change this by being part of the SBR, that person better know enough about the current metagame to being relevant discussion to the table, even if their character is talked about rarely if at all.
Also, you seem to believe that we don't give chances to those characters in the lower tiers when clearly that is not true, as made evident by the recent rise of such characters like Steaky the Well-Done Hedgehog, Animal Slave Laborer from Kanto, and the Mistress of Cross-Dressing from Hyrule. (I'll give you a minute). All of these characters were previously believe to be competition unviable, but in time, and through the efforts of the mains (efforts, not words), these characters rose on the tier list.
