I actually kinda like the fact that Mango isnt winning anymore.

now we kinda have this like metagame where armada/hbox/m2k/PP/a few rare others are vying to win the tournament, and when they face off, we have no clue who's really going to win.

whereas when mango was trying to win, it was always like, you just knew mango was going to win.

but 4leafmango forever got teams on lock.

IDK, Pound 4 was disappointing in that Armada, Mew2king and Amsah never played Mango in tournament, had he played any of them it would have been a great a match and no would have said with certainty that Mango would have won.

but like, ROM3 was tight cuz there was like a total of $300 worth of sidebets betwee m2k and PP cuz it was so up in there air no one knew what was going on or who was gonna win. No one would have bet against mango circa 08-09 lol

I love the top 3 of ROM3 they really all stepped their game up and were playing phenomenal what a great show. As an old M2K fanboy it's great to see him getting 2nd in a national.

Armada is really good at the Falco match-up, but PP is smart so I could see PP winning. I also cannot really see Armada losing to a Falco though. Amsah seems to be in the same boat, but we have only really seen him against Zhu. Armada 3-stocked Mango in GF 1.1, but again, PP is a really fantastic player.

according to pp, he and amsah played a couple of matches and pp was losing for the most part, but that was then and this is now.

I kinda wanna see shiz vs. amsah too. COME BACK SHIA WIA.

Maybe, but the stitch is a part of Peach's setup. Pull enough turnips and you're bound to get one. It's also a matter of how you use it, and the risk that it can be used against you.

Other than that, I can't wait for the Armada-PP rematch!

I think Hack's point is that you are implying that Armada not gotten the stichface PP would have won. His point(and I agree with him) is that is a moot point because Armada draws a lot of turnips and eventually he is going to get a stitch face. Stitch faces have played important roles in his sets against Mew2king, Hax, etc. It wasn't luck so much as it is a part of Peach's arsenal.

just like m2k getting a nice gimp can change a set quickly, armada's use of the stitchface changed the set as well. everyone who has seen m2k vs shiz at rom knows how much a gimp can change things. whether that gimp was made through a grab near the edge or something pulled from the ground, it's a gimp.

actually m2k is a very prideful person from what I've heard with sheik. I mean I heard him, at RoM 3, turn around tell Kirbykaze (love that guy) "Dont worry man no one beats me in sheik dittos".

I'd love to see his marth vs. Amsah's sheik. Unfortunately that's the last MU I'd expect realistically to see between those two as m2k post 2k8 has no confidence in his marth in certain match ups. More specifically marth vs. puff, marth vs. sheik, and marth vs. falcon.
Marth on sheik is really hard but is do able.

You bet your *** he would. I'd put Amsah's sheik over his fox and his marth (both VERY slightly... and hell, I might be wrong there), but the sheik ditto, I dunno. I'm inclined to say that Amsah's sheik is ever so slightly better overall, but that M2K has a better chance at winning the ditto. That's just my opinion though, who knows what will happen. I just can't wait to see lol

Amsah did beat Tope at Pound 4, so it's not as if the NTSC gayness will beat him. M2K vs Amsah in Sheik dittos would be amazing though.

Even though M2K's largely considered the best overall, I disagree. His mastery of the majority of the high tiers is respectable, but that's about it. Anyway, here's my take on a top ten;

1. Mango
2. Hungrybox
3. HugS
4. Darkrain
5. Colbol
6. SilentSpectre
7. DaShizWiz
8. Calle W
9. Tang
10. Forward

I mostly base this on their overall performances in tourneys and their playing style, and as you can see, I'm not a Puff hater. Mindgames also play a role, and that's pretty much why I placed HugS as high as the third place. He's by no means a bad player, but his Samus mostly relies on the genius that his mindgames are, and not his work ethic. Phanna's is far superior, unlike his mindgames, which aren't that much. Consider this for the others, too. HugS and Phanna are merely examples.
