Alright, for a replacement submission:

Shake King (Wario)

1200px-Shake_King_WLSI.png

The evil pirate from Wario Land: Shake It! He would be a superheavy and his hook would be his unique hurtboxes. He only has a hurt box on the upper part of his body similar to how you must attack him in Wario Land: Shake It! Also, he can be a giant character in the veins of Iron Giant in MultiVersus but be a little smaller by any means when comparing him to the other fighters in the roster.

Vampires win.

FazDude's Capcom content will be used.

My treetops layout wins by default.

Fighter sub: Rambi

Rambi's hook is his resiliance to grabs. Rambi can only be grabbed, regular or command, if he is in shield - however, if you do manage to get your hands on him the throw moves will be extra strong and unmashable, though his shield is the most resistant to non-grab attacks (Peasley's shield breaker would struggle to make a dent in it)
This is the weirdest one I have ever submitted.

Beetle (DK64)

The true villain of the game to many, Beetle is a swift character, quick and nimble when she needs to be. Her gimmick is Dizziness. She has powerful spinning attacks, however, some of these attacks can lead to the player's controls being reversed for some time after!
Character Name: Count Cannoli (and Goodstyle!)
Character Origin: Wario: Master of Disguise (2007)

So, this is sort of a development of a concept from Master of Disguise, in that Goodstyle (the magical staff that Wario steals and allows him to change form in the game) originally belonged to Count Cannoli. Turns out, Goodstyle actually ends up back in Cannoli's hands by the end of the game, because Wario's "Telmet" didn't let him take the treasure with him, so hell yeah!

In terms of a moveset, Cannoli's focus here would be on, uh... disguises. Specifically, Goodstyle is used in Master of Disguise in order to have Wario take different forms, such as Thief Wario, Genius Wario, and Wicked Wario - so I'd like to suggest that Goodstyle does the same for Cannoli, though with the designs being changed just a little in order to be more fitting. As opposed to having a moveset based on some bizarre stance change style, though, Cannoli rapidly switches between disguises for different effects that may be beneficial for him (a little like how Ben Tennyson switches between aliens in Punch Time Explosion but like, good?) For instance, his grab would have him become "Genius Cannoli", firing out an Ultra Hand to grab opponents and drag them back. Not only this, but Cannoli's Final Smash brings the Mad Hat MK.III out to play!

This overall makes Cannoli a sort of jack-of-all-trades in terms of his moveset, though on the heavier side. It's also a cool representation of an interesting part of the Wario series - such as his various transformations across the series - as well as representing Wario: Master of Disguise, because who wouldn't want to represent Wario: Master of Disguise?
I was originally gonna resubmit Kiddy Kong for this job, but I couldn't think of a hook I really liked. As such...

Roger the Potted Ghost (Yoshi's Island)

The major boss of Yoshi's Island's second world, Roger relies on two Shy Guys to push him around. While he isn't exactly the game's most difficult boss, he's one of my personal favorites and could make for a fun, unexpected addition to the Yoshi series lineup. He could make use of his amorphous body to perform long range body slams and similar attacks, but would have considerable endlag as one of his main weaknesses.

As for his hook, I'm actually envisioning two!
  1. Similar to Vivian's tail, Roger's body acts as a wall, and opponents cannot pass through it. However, they can dodgeroll across his pot.
  2. Roger's second gimmick is something specific to him - Due to not having any limbs, he relies on two Shy Guys to carry him. While this does give him rather sluggish mobility, it also gives him a potent passive ability - Attacks which deal too little vertical knockback will not launch Roger. He can still be launched by attacks such as most up tilts/smashes, but if the attack doesn't have enough vertical knockback, Roger will remain in place as his Shy Guys hold him back (although he will still take damage).

However, the Shy Guys themselves can be attacked, and if they are, they will be KO'd, leaving Roger completely unable to move (aside from a pitiful single jump) for a while. The Shy Guys will eventually respawn, but until then, Roger loses his knockback resistance, leaving his surprisingly lightweight self in some serious trouble.
I will be resubmitting Cranky Kong for the second time, hope this works.

Cranky Kong

C68B843E-391A-4F1E-96D8-23A9BD37D572.jpeg

Mario’s original rival. His whole hook involves talk not being cheap and his moveset being based around…well, his stories about his youth. Truly, I’m surprised Cranky is not in this game despite being one of the first ever Mario characters to chronologically make their debut. Plus, there’s not many older adults represented on the roster. Thus, Cranky Kong makes his talks worth it in a fight.

Basically, I was thinking he can be a bit of a comic relief fighter. Each move involves him doing an action and gaining new voice lines about him talking about the old days throwing barrels and the liking. That’s what I’m thinking about for his hook.
Alright, for a replacement submission:

  1. Cranky Kong (Says wisecracks - NOTE: will not be allowed any arcade references if added from this job)
  2. Shake King (Giant)
  3. Roger the Potted Ghost (Pushed by Shy Guys, takes minimal knockback)
  4. Beetle (Most powerful attacks cause dizziness and control reversal)
  5. Count Canolli (Stance change for stats but not moves, occurs with most moves)
  6. Rambi (Hard to grab)
Please vote for your top 3

FazDude FazDude I will allow Roger, but not with the wall gimmick as he'd take away Vivian's unique hook.

Submit a conquest!

1. Rambi. Semi-iconic DKC character, pretty cool but not-too-complex "hook", and a potentially really fun rushdown/tank moveset.
2. The Shake King. Fun Wario rep = based - plus, I think the idea of a super-giant character lends well to games like this.
3. Roger the Potted Ghost. This is such a cool concept. I think it'd be a really unique way to make a fighter work!

As for the Conquest:

Apples vs. Oranges!

There's no point comparing them, so have them battle! For this, Mario reps Team Apple with an apple hat (with a bite taken out of it!), whilst Wario reps Team Orange with an orange hat. They may be pretty simple, but this fruity fracas isn't one to be missed!

Will try to submit a moveset later.

For now:

Victory theme: Rambi shares a victory theme with DK

Final Smash: Diddy Devistation
A reversal of Diddy's Final Smash, Rambi spawns Diddy and does a similar charging attack, albeit with an upwards trajectory thanks to Diddy's jetpacks, which use their Returns design instead of the DK64/Smash design.

Rambi Moveset Submission:

Hold Neutral B – Charge: Much like Donkey Kong’s Banana Slamma, by holding B, Rambi will rev up, swiping his front foot on the ground and snorting steam. This charge is important for Rambi’s side-B.

Tap Neutral B – A simple but powerful jab in which Rambi thrusts upwards, as when he hits an enemy in the games, and hits an opponent fighter slightly upwards.

Down B – Thunder Stomp – A near carbon copy of DK’s Down B, with one exception: Rambi’s Stop causes a large rock to fall onto the stage in front of or behind him (limited rng involved). The rock only does a small bit of damage to an opponent if it lands on them, and will break if hit by only a few attacks. However, the rock does have its own purpose for Rambi’s moveset.

Side B - Stampede – Rambi charges in a direction. The distance and power of the stampede is determined by how long it was charged with neutral-B. If Rambi hits the rock summoned with down-B with a charged stampede, It will send pieces of debris in the form of smaller rocks flying across the stage.

Up B – Tire Jump – Rambi summons a tire, which he then jumps on while thrusting his horn upwards. Th tire despawns immediately after Rambi has left it.

Final Smash: Animal Antics
Since Yoshi’s final smash is changed, I think something similar would be great for Rambi and also based on a final smash idea I saw for Dixie some time ago. He charges in a direction, and anyone he hits will be hit into a stun. Then, jungle animals, as well as other animal buddies, will charge across the stage, knocking around anyone caught in the jumble.

Victory Theme: A short excerpt of Rambi's Theme from DK64

Rambi Moveset
  • Neutral B: Horn Thrust
    • Rambi thrusts his horn forwards. While it does have considerable startlag and fairly low knockback, it does deal immense shield damage and launches opponents upwards.
  • Side B: Supercharge
    • Rambi begins charging up before racing forwards in that direction. While a brief charge won't be anything to write home about, higher charges give Rambi super armor and immense knockback.
  • Up B: Squawks
    • Squawks appears and gives Rambi a lift, similarly to Duck Hunt's Up Special. While Rambi's bulk severely limits the range and speed of his recovery, Squawks can fire eggs as a deterrent for anyone trying to exploit this.
  • Down B: Stomp
    • Rambi stomps the ground, creating a shockwave around himself. While not as spammable as DK's Hand Slap, it is much more powerful.

Submit a new piece of content for Jungle Hijinxs!

Please submit some form of modification or new content for the Jungle Hijinxs stage! Note that this cannot directly change the gameplay of the stage, but you can add an extra alternate version if you desire to change gameplay.

Submit 20 pieces of cosmetics based on Konami properties!

Please submit 20 pieces of cosmetic content based on Konami properties! Nothing is off-limits (within the age rating at least), but if you want to do just/mostly Frogger or whatever that's fine too. The hat-to-trail-to-pattern distribution is up to you.

Submit headwear to release with Rambi!

Submit a new stage and 1 song!

This will be released alongside Rambi, but not bundled with him - so go crazy! Mario DLC stages only get 1 song by default, which is new - check the front page to see which songs are already in the game and therefore not usable, though if you can find a good remix you will be able to use that if the original is already there. Please note that this cannot be a Donkey Kong stage.

Submit a cute conquest!

Jungle Hijinxs: Tiki Ship

A Tiki Ship will fly by in the background on occasion - the banana bag is so big that it looks as if the sky is yellow for a bit. When the back is inaccesible it may appear closer.

Steam Gardens
380565D2-5B75-4710-AD55-FF88ABCECDF4.jpeg

This stage takes place on one of pieces of the red scaffolding in Steam Gardens, high in the trees, the upright thin platform is a tree and a soft platform. The grey blocks are pieces of scaffolding that will - at random, unsyncronised points - start to shake before poping out, turning into a platform and screen KOing anyone in their path. They will retreat without warning at a randomised period of time. Steam Gardeners are present in the background, albeit having gone through a 2D pipe that is seen in front on the scaffolding so they can watch in safety from outside the Z axis

Headwear: Reznor hat

Conquest: Cute (Mario, magical girl anime eyes) vs. Cool (Wario, seinen anime eyes)

Cute vs. Cool will be a conquest by default

Darkonedagger's Konami cosmetics will be used

The Tiki Ship will be used

By removing my self-vote, BlustersBest's alt list wins, meaning Reznor will not be a fighter - though they sill still recieve headwear

3D World Stage 2: Conkdor Canyon

This stage would be more vertically-focused (kinda like Moray Towers in Ultimate, except considerably wider) and feature Conkdors as stage hazards, who would try and slam their head into nearby fighters.

I'll try and submit Rice Beach music later.

Submit the second Western guest fighter!

It doesn't have to be American - in fact it doesn't even need to be Western, just not Eastern; not a video game character; and possible to include within the age rating. Remember that McDonald's content and King Features properties are disconfirmed.

SpongeBob SquarePants

I don't think I need to explain this choice too thoroughly. SpongeBob is a wildly popular character, has appeared in platfighters before (even besides NASB, he was in an official Nick Flash platfighter back in the day), and his aesthetic would fit the world of Mario pretty well. Hell, it wouldn't even be the first time Nickelodeon and Nintendo have collaborated!

Wallace and Gromit

LG Life's Good.

In all seriousness, the inventor and his faithful hound from West Wallaby Street would likely have a somewhat trapper-y moveset, not much unlike Snake or Pac-Man, with Wallace's inventions providing ranged attacks while Gromit gets up close when needed. Their mostly-visual style of humour and peppy attitudes even when confronted with danger fit the Mario universe well

Listen, i stopped wtching SMG4 videos for a long time, but i think she has the most potential for a moveset. It was her or Meggy.
Not elegible. We already did a fan character job. I may be willing to begrudgingly allow a Glitch Productions character who isn't in SMG4, but not one that has officially appeared in Mario fan works.

Mickey Mouse

One of the most iconic characters outside of Mario, Mickey Mouse would be a great parallel character to the main plumber man, and also a great parallel to Sora in the real Smash. I would want his design and moveset to revolve around the more recent The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse series, as that's the Mickey most likely to get in a brawl (outside of Kingdom Hearts that is), and I think the design is just great, although the design could definitely change later on.

Mr. Monopoly

This rather wealthy fellow would be a very unique addition, with a moveset inspired by the gameplay of Monopoly. He would have a Steve-ish mechanic allowing him to purchase properties, which will have a variety of different effects. Some charge “rent,” which just means they damage people who stand on them. But others like the Electric Company will buff certain attacks with new effects. He’d have a money mechanic similar to Shovel Knight/Finn so he could buy stuff, and his regular attacks could involve using the Monopoly pieces as weapons.

Shrek
Hey now. You're an All Star. This Orge has layers. He'd take more from his actual films, rather than the memes about him, though they'd definitely be refranced. He'd obviously take stuff from Super Slam and his other video game apperneces. He was a pretty common smash meme. Nintendo and Universal (owners of Dreamworks) do have a relationship.

Wally // Waldo
Connected through a common ally (DIC Entertainment working on Waldo product to this day,) Waldo could use moves taking from his exploits across the world. I’d imagine he’d play as an unassuming trickster fighter, splitting off into the background or using passerbys as defense. Apparently, his walking stick’s magic so keeping his opponents at bay would be crucial.
This is also motivated by the onslaught of fun content Waldo could bring on, especially stages.
