Given the fact that we have a Super Mario Bros. Super Show stage, we should definitely have more representation for the DiC Entertainment/WildBrain era of Mario. Therefore, look no further than Inspector Gadget! This dimwitted cyborg police inspector actually appeared on the Super Mario Bros Super Show once in live action. He can have a quirky moveset with his gadgets of course! He would also come with a slew of content from other DiC Entertainment/WildBrain owned IPs. Go gadget go! He should really be in Super Mario Smash Bros for sure.

Emmet is the protagonist of the LEGO Movie series of films. In recent years Mario has had a lucrative partnership with LEGO.

Emmet would be a generic Minifigure and each of his alts could be a different famous Minifig, and the moveset potential is near endless.

Bugs Bunny

"What's up Doc?"​

Bugs Bunny is the main protagonist of Looney Tunes, an animated series made by Warner Bros. and he is a happy-go-lucky gray rabbit who likes to go on crazy adventures alongside his pals Daffy duck and Porky pig.
Looney Tunes is also one of very popular cartoons of all time that became a pop culture phenomenon to this day.

His moveset in this game would be different to MVS counterpart, but it would still include slap-stick themed attacks because of Looney Tunes's nature.
He also could have potential alts like "king" Bugs bunny and even "Tune squad" Bugs Bunny.

Bugs Bunny would also bring cosmetics from Warner Bros. properties such as DC comics, CN, Hanna Barbera or even Midway games (Although it might be kinda too broad since WB is owning many properties, but I don't think it should be the problem here).


Since Looney Tunes is a really popular cartoon known by many people, it would make some sense to include Bugs Bunny because he seems to be poster boy of the whole Looney Tunes franchise (or heck, Warner Bros company).

SpongeBob SquarePants

I don't think I need to explain this choice too thoroughly. SpongeBob is a wildly popular character, has appeared in platfighters before (even besides NASB, he was in an official Nick Flash platfighter back in the day), and his aesthetic would fit the world of Mario pretty well. Hell, it wouldn't even be the first time Nickelodeon and Nintendo have collaborated!

Wallace and Gromit

LG Life's Good.

In all seriousness, the inventor and his faithful hound from West Wallaby Street would likely have a somewhat trapper-y moveset, not much unlike Snake or Pac-Man, with Wallace's inventions providing ranged attacks while Gromit gets up close when needed. Their mostly-visual style of humour and peppy attitudes even when confronted with danger fit the Mario universe well

Mickey Mouse

One of the most iconic characters outside of Mario, Mickey Mouse would be a great parallel character to the main plumber man, and also a great parallel to Sora in the real Smash. I would want his design and moveset to revolve around the more recent The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse series, as that's the Mickey most likely to get in a brawl (outside of Kingdom Hearts that is), and I think the design is just great, although the design could definitely change later on.

Mr. Monopoly

This rather wealthy fellow would be a very unique addition, with a moveset inspired by the gameplay of Monopoly. He would have a Steve-ish mechanic allowing him to purchase properties, which will have a variety of different effects. Some charge “rent,” which just means they damage people who stand on them. But others like the Electric Company will buff certain attacks with new effects. He’d have a money mechanic similar to Shovel Knight/Finn so he could buy stuff, and his regular attacks could involve using the Monopoly pieces as weapons.

While the Minions are more popular, he has gag weapons like the Fart Smoke Gun to stun the characters.

Shrek
Hey now. You're an All Star. This Orge has layers. He'd take more from his actual films, rather than the memes about him, though they'd definitely be refranced. He'd obviously take stuff from Super Slam and his other video game apperneces. He was a pretty common smash meme. Nintendo and Universal (owners of Dreamworks) do have a relationship.

Wally // Waldo
Connected through a common ally (DIC Entertainment working on Waldo product to this day,) Waldo could use moves taking from his exploits across the world. I’d imagine he’d play as an unassuming trickster fighter, splitting off into the background or using passerbys as defense. Apparently, his walking stick’s magic so keeping his opponents at bay would be crucial.
This is also motivated by the onslaught of fun content Waldo could bring on, especially stages.

Victory: the last few seconds of the SpongeBob theme, with SpongeBob's nose flute swapped for a flute version of the "Nick-Nick-Nick" jingle and placed a little earlier

Final Smash: Annoy name Day

In this cutscene FS, SpongeBob looks on the callendar and notices what day it is: none another than Annoy name Day! name being the character who is the closest to SpongeBob when he activates the move. It will then cut to SpongeBob being extremely annoying to that character on the stage assigned as their home stage for Big Top Brawl as a timelapse while the day night cycle plays, before cutting back to the battle where they haven't been KO'd, but are sleeping and have immense damage.

SpongeBob moveset:

SpongeBob is a lightweight fighter, but also has passive super armour like Bowser until he reaches 120%, easy to combo and just as easy to KO - however, he makes up for this by being extremely agile and powerful. Think of him as the ultimate glass cannon, a heavyweight and lightweight at once. If he heals back to 119% or less, he doesn't regain super armour, but he will regain it upon stock loss.

Neutral Special: Bubble

SpongeBob blows a bubble, which pops after a certain amount of time to cause a big explosion - SpongeBob can't control when it pops, but can pick up the bubble like he would in NASB to move it somewhere else or put it on a different trajectory. The bubble can hurt SpongeBob, but there's a rare chance it'll be made of slime, making it more powerful and inable to hurt SpongeBob at expense of popping later, forcing him to change up his tactics. There can be two bubbles at once.

Up Special: Hydrodynamic Spatula

SpongeBob can't go up with this move, only left and right, however it will also reset SpongeBob's jumps and not leave him helpless. That being said, it can only be used once per air time

Side Special: Servin' Up Smiles

SpongeBob flips a 30% healing Krabby Patty a short distance, he can go to it himself using his great speed or use it as a luring trap. It's also very good in team battles. There can only be one patty at once

Down Special: Kah-Rah-Tay Coun-Tay

SpongeBob braces up for a counter. This move will leave foes immobile like RPS in NASB - however, be warned that if they're on a moving trajectory they will keep their momentum, so it may make hitting a fast-approaching enemy a lot harder!

Note that while Jellyfish Fields; the Dutchman's Ship; and Glove World are elegible locations, the prior's NASB layout already has an equivalent in Christmas Village and the latter two are very similar to Hazards Off Rainbow Cruise and Great Tower of Bowser Land so I'd advise against submitting them as they appear in NASB

The Town, in this case, being the past where SpongeGar and Patar fight over the Fwee Fwee, while the City is the FUUUUUTUREEEEEE where you'll find SpongeTron and a very shell-shocked Squidward. This is based on hazards on Town & City. The transitional phase where the stage resembles FD is alone... aaaallooone

Repurposing one of my unused Popeye stages for the next one
Krusty Krab

The perfect arena for a classic bar fight, this stage is inside the restaurant and basically a plain walkoff, however there are 4 platforms that are bar stools - the bar stools are soft platforms and, while you can walk through their legs no problem, you can also attack the legs to shove the bar stool into the direct next one, launching away anyone on the next bar stool and changing the layout. You can even slide the bar stools off-stage! This stage also has a ceiling.

Ahhh...... Do we have that many beach stages? Either way, Goo Lagoon will be a walk-off stage, with three umbrellas in the center, which can be bounced on for a short time but close with too much activity, and a Lifeguard stage off to one side. Occasionally, like Norfair, a tidal wave will hit a section of the stage, dealing massive damage or sweeping away all who are unlucky enough to be hit.

Players fight on a flat plain like the one above, but with a walk off to the side. There is a sign, a bus stop and a vending machine. Every now and then a bus will drive down and through the stage, taking out anyone who gets caught in it's path.
