so is there a way to avoid getting jab to grab? or is sheik's weight susceptible to grabs? i think a crouch cancel might work, but i don't know if there's a way to DI out of the jab.

If you DI up you can double jump out of jab grab by some characters. Sometimes you can pull a Peach and Nair them out of the grab part. Away and up works similarly.
With those in mind, crouch cancel also works. It also tends to work better because you can get a reward for doing it and you also get more options from it (rolls, grab, d-smash, shield, etc).
Falchino, though not explicitly stated, I figured it was common knowledge at this point that you have to tech chase Falco after D-throw. And that is the same in both versions. I suppose it is my fault for not being clear with that in my post, but quite honestly I just assumed people were smart enough not to warrant it.

no i mean it was brawl where they took all the combos out. they only took chaingrabs out of pal melee

and from my experience most people are really stupid with Jabs which is awsome because you can get easy grabs and grabs are fun =D

There are more vids of Scar vs Haley up. Haley seems to get nervous at the end of game one but still succeeds because he hits Scar and Scar dies.
When Falcon DIs anywhere but away when you D-throw, fyi, you don't have to let him hit the ground after a bit, you can just U-tilt/F-tilt him and it will combo.

It seemed more noticeable game one on your last stock because you kept missing things you didn't miss on your earlier stocks.

I'll keep this in mind for next time. I usually only think of sheik in teams when Captain Falcon is involved, but I've been tearing spacies apart lately. Double Sheik will make us the best / most hated team around.

Hey people
If fox tries to dash attack through your shield to bait you into shield grabbing, light shield it(with L or R, Z doesn't work) and shield DI it back then you can shield grab. It *****. Just thought you should know.

That show was amazing, way better than the sh*t that passes for entertainment nowadays.
I didn't know Foxes do that, are they trying to crossover or something and pressure your shield from behind?
And if so, can't you just grab before they dash attack?

Nah they just nerfed the top chars a small bit to make the game better: fox's upB a bit less far, falco's dair doesn't spike when hit with the top, marth's dair is a meteor, sheik's down throw can be di-ed more. It's as if they knew these chars were the best right at the start of melee, but if that's the case why do lowtiers still have no chance even in Europe? I find it interesting to see way more lowtiers in American tourneys, and some of them just own most hightiers as well, that doesn't really happen here.
First, sheik is amazing.
So I think dair can be used to juggle fox form like 30-60 % or something close to that (and of there are platforms you can just waveland grab from one of their platform techs). But I was trying this against CPUs (level 1, 5 and 9) and none of them could break it if you chase with dairs before they tech. Lvl 9's do DI more than 1 or 5 as well and I was able to combo them pretty consistently until they got too high for sh dair to hit. But I was wondering if this worked against human DI.
I know that ftilt> ftilt > fair is bread and butter, but maybe something like ftilt (until out of ftilt range) > dair > double jump fair would be better?
It's an extra 10% or so added on and a little more height for them to recover, but I think it'll work.
So any sheik board commentary or criticism would be great.
