i'm pretty sure you can land a usmash if a fox dash attacks your shield

which is generally much higher reward than a grab

short hop fast falled l-cancelled dairs. Together.

And after f-tilt, full jump, fast fall, dair, lcancel, double jump fair.

Okay, well, that was just misleading on your part =P The "doublejump fair" made me assume you were trying to dair/fair all in one trip into the air.

Which would look kinda cool, if it were possible.

Seems like bair to fair or uair to fair would be better, but, yeah.

First, sheik is amazing.

So I think dair can be used to juggle fox form like 30-60 % or something close to that (and of there are platforms you can just waveland grab from one of their platform techs). But I was trying this against CPUs (level 1, 5 and 9) and none of them could break it if you chase with dairs before they tech. Lvl 9's do DI more than 1 or 5 as well and I was able to combo them pretty consistently until they got too high for sh dair to hit. But I was wondering if this worked against human DI.

I know that ftilt> ftilt > fair is bread and butter, but maybe something like ftilt (until out of ftilt range) > dair > double jump fair would be better?
It's an extra 10% or so added on and a little more height for them to recover, but I think it'll work.

So any sheik board commentary or criticism would be great.

dairs chain if they dont DI. usually stick to one dair, like dash attack>dair>fair, if u get greedy and try to string the dairs they will escape the finisher.

usmash oos against dash attack is ****. they always try to dash attack through the shield and utilt and this ***** that strat, if they shine it might catch u though

Actualy they can imo be a pretty good team. Personaly
I like to team with someone who has more killing power (fox and falcon) But for some reason I really like the team.

the only double-anything-team that seems to work is double fox...but that might be bc there are so many foxes out there. and bc fox is brrrrroken.

btw, i'm like 99% convinced that upthrow-->tech chase space animals is equal to dthrow--->tech chase....but only on FD and maybe dreamland. and it doesn't work on captain falcon...he can jump out at some mid percent i think

Well if we think of it based on match ups its pretty beast assuming fox isnt in the picture. Everyone else should look out,

double peach is another great double team guy!

fun fact about that.

if he doesn't di he can shine and hit you and then do grab and hurt you for a long time.

u-throw is only good if you know they HAVE to land on the platform and by land i mean actually land on it and tech/non-tech because very often they can just edgecancel if they di and then you've wasted a grab. if you can get uairs from an u-throw, however, it's very ridiculously good. uairs are amazing.

but until like 70 it won't do anything d-throw wouldn't have done except maybe a platform combo

edit: you probably could get away with u-throw regardless, because the bulk of space animals don't know much about sheik moves (in fact most people don't know about sheik moves LOL) but it can backfire pretty hard.

well, i meant that it could only be equal to d-throw tech chasing on FD, mostly bc di would send the spacy pretty close to a platform. but i like it bc sometimes my reaction time is slow, and you have more time until they hit the ground from an upthrow. that said, you can't tech chase out of the upthrow after a while either.

Everything Sheik has combos into more stuff, except like...if you mess up...or Fair...

Isn't Falcos spike just the initial animation sweetspot? Either way that would mess people up in this metagame lol

Your best bet is to go watch Nihonjin vids. Ask around though there are bound to be some other ones.

i've got springs taken out of R and L on my GC controller so i can't light shield by lightly pressing R/L.

the ways that i found i can are :

> if i hold A then press Z
> if of wave dash and press Z immediately
> if i aerial and Z immediately

is there any way that i can light shield immediately?

is light shielding important enough that i should get another controller?

I don't light shield very ofthen. The only time i instinctively light shield is when im on a platform i always light shield so they hit me off...or away or something

remen is on the edge. amsah runs up and d-smashes at the edge. but remen drops and up airs.

what was amsah trying to do by d-smashing rite at the edge?

was he predicting remen would stay on the edge longer then invincibility frames last?

Or he thought remen would come up earlier and get eaten by Sheik invincibility frame? I dunno, lots of stuff.

Generally speaking, however, attacking Fox when he's holding the ledge is dangerous. He has like 3 ledgestalls with great invincibility and a fully invincible ledgedash. Pressuring him is a different matter, but going right up to him and trying to hit him is often a very silly course of action.

So in pal, does sheik fall faster? It definitely looks like it.
Also it looks like her dash animation is longer and different in some way. I could be totally wrong though.

OMG!

I just watche an Amsah vid. I noticed that he does the Pivot needle > Aerial thing. I thought I was the only one who did that. It made me happy.

And his Sheik is pretty good too, but I think Drephen, Tope, and M2K are still better.

Also, PAL Sheik's Dthrow isn't much different. He Dthrew a peach and she went no where.. lol
