LOL. let me elaborate.

In the entire game, what attacks beat out sheik's Bair if they were to clash?

Ex. Falcon Punch beats Sheik's Bair and that is why he counters her.

I come from a foreign land, but hear me out!
I use to main Link, and his nair ate through everything, and I'm sure that would beat out the dreaded bair 8/10 times (the other 2 times the sheik was chain grabbing instead of spacing bair lololoz **** you dthrow)

Haha - Maryland = foreign land?

Really though, I don't think Link's nair > Sheik's bair. Link would probably be better if this was so.

links nair does not beat spaced bair

assuming they are both spaced and using the fresh hitbox

sheiks bair is like disjointed slightly from her body

I hear that Link's Uair beats it too, and that the nair trades. Of course I could also be a deaf, blind, tasteless, mute.

Sheik's Bair is very good, it will beat Link's Nair if they try to contest its sweetspot.

Many Bairs will trump Link's Nair if they try to contest the sweetspot.

Sheik's Bair should beat most of Ganon's moveset if you do it below him and aimed for the sweetspot to hit (sans Fair if he gets the hitbox out and low). Same goes for most of Fox and Falco's moveset, Peach's moveset (sans Fair), and Falcon's moveset.

The trouble is setting it up like that because her short hop is awkwardly high and her Bair ideally works below them and it also hits very high naturally.

How you set it up largely depends on how creative you can be, stage, and other things.

Moo.

Moo moo moo moo moo.

It loses to Puff's Bair unless you come from below, and underneath her disjointed bit. On paper that sounds somewhat difficult. In practice, it's harder because of her short jumps versus Sheik's big jumps, and because of her good aerial mobility versus Sheik's bad aerial mobility.

I'm pretty sure it's just the tippity top of Falco's foot (bair). It could be more, not sure.

Kira- Yup lol.

Also, Link's nair gets beat by Sheik's fair when spaced right. I'm pretty sure the bair beats Link's nair.

you make it sound like you should just not try and bair a puff
Something I have struggled with vs Puff was depending on my aerials to beat hers. But then they kept losing.

Then I realized that Puff, by virtue of being Puff, gets to aim her aerials in a much more useful manner. She has a short hop that goes under yours, so she can always aim at where the hitbox is non-existent (or crappy) and compounded by her aerial mobility, it becomes a grind. A silly grind.

Especially when it's easier to just wait for them to miss and hit them in between Bairs.

things i find underrated/overrated about sheik

underrated:
-matchups. sheik's matchups are incredible. she basically goes even with everyone and counters mid/low tiers. pretty ****.

-so easy to figure out. there are so many good sheiks out there that never practice tech skill or visit the boards. has m2k ever visited here? doubt it.

-tournament performance. i dunno why, but sheiks don't do that well in tourny. i think cap and puff have been doing better than sheik has lately.

overrated:
-stage selection. b.field and FOD are sheik's best, but they're neutrals. she kinda blows on cp stages. i mean, it's debatable but i don't think she has a real cp stage designed for her strengths. plus i hate FD against spacies and climbers.

-ability to combo and/or rack up damage. every time i fight a fox, i'm reminded of this. you can tech chase like four-five times and that will equal fox's shine-upthrow to two upairs or some bs. sheik's combos are easy, but they don't always result with kills. you almost always have to edgeguard. and her strongest moves have knockback, but don't rack up percents.

useful for marth edgeguard sometimes

i used to use it all the time against shield pressure, but then i realized u get more stun, so i just hard shield and nair or wavedash now

You can lightshield on the edges of ledges or platforms in between stocks to waste their invincibility.

Of course they can punish this by making you fall off into a trap, but it works well for me.

Sometimes doing a lightshield discreetly can push you away from Falco multishines and then you get a grab.

And then you do d-throw --> d-throw --> d-throw --> d-throw --> d-throw --> dash attack --> fair edgeguard **** asdfjkl;

you can't really chaingrab with downthrow cause it sends them farther away in PAL

and upair is weaker, so it isn't the killer move it is in NTSC but therefore it comboes better =)

Other than that Sheik remains the same
