its fine to let them try to get back on the stage. the first move they make (roll, stand up, wd, ect) is where you have to punish them to keep them off. if you charge needles you gain a pretty decent advantage, and doesn't slow you as long as you cancel the charge animation in time to punish his "approach"

As for the how to deal with marth hanging on the edge.

I agree with Junglefever for the most part. I will often try to steal edges if I feel like I have my opponent's habits down. Stealing the edge is devastating sometimes .

However I like to mix it up and use different things for different people. If I feel like the marth wants to get a quick hit in and run I usually just sit there and try to CC grab/dtilt.

If not I usually charge my needles.


Kira - Against CF you probably shouldn't approach in a sense that you run up and hit his shield to pressure or w/e. CF can run circles on sheik and his movement is quite annoying.

I usually start either DDing or charge my needles. I try to charge needles as often as I can because it forces approaches.

My one main weapon against CF is her ftilt. Its like her saving grace in this match up. It out prioritizes ALL of CF's aerials and covers them ALL well except for dair.

Make sure if you do throw needles that you are a bit further than a CF SH distance away. You don't want to get daired just cuz you threw needles.

Lawrencelot - No prob actually while I was typing this I remembered that in my tournament set vs DJN I killed his samus by stealing the edge on his second stock. Pretty hilarious, he drops down and he double jumps into nothing. Up-bs late and dies at 20%. =)

Frankly there is some stuff to look for and I'll get into it in more depth later if you wish. Right now though I need to study for my Linear Algebra exam so not right now .

As for vids you can watch my Ustream vids vs hax. Both games I go Sheik against Scar I lost . I was kinda close to winning but ended up losing. Although I guess it can be helpful anyway.

Question: what do you do when Marth is hanging on the ledge and sheik is on stage? I tried different things like jump away and needle, space (short or doublejumped) bairs, shorthop fairs, dtilt, but too often I get hit by his fair or I just miss and I was wondering what is the best option.

i just stand back and ftilt lol. they can just stand up but they're still in bad position at the ledge, you can punish whatever they do from there pretty easily

Sometimes I think WC Sheiks are hostile because deep down they just want to be loved.

What's the difference between buffering a roll/dodge vs fsmash/dsmash?
I can actually do the one I want pretty much every time but I have no idea how I'm doing it and want to know the physics of it LOL
I'm pretty sure it has to do with when to let go of shield or something...I really don't know, I just do it :O

Also, is it possible to buffer tilts? I'm quite sure NO but maybe there's some silly impossible way that doesn't matter XD

Is double-fairing in a SH something that anybody does or is it kind of redundant and pointless for the practice that would take for it?

Fair>Nair seems like it could potentially be worth practicing though.

Check tourney vids I think it might be there.

Its okay its not like I stand out like Hax and the others. There are too many good players in Tristate to notice a sheik main that rarely plays in tourney .

My set vs scar was basically my Sheik/Peach/Fox vs Falcon

I'm not even sure if you can buffer smashes actually......

In order to buffer something you have to hold shield iirc.

If you hold C stick in a direction you aren't going to fsmash constantly so you can't buffer them.

You can buffer rolls though. Just hold shield and hold the cstick left or right.

I always hold the cstick either way so I must be tapping it once when I try smashing. I'll have to check next time I do it lol

I know that when you land, there's 2 frames of lag. I thought my smashes were coming out too fast to be suffering from the lag, that's all. Must be just good timing since I'm so used to it. :\

just saying, "oos game" isn't something you really work on, it's just a test of how quickly you can adapt (as opposed to playing someone 50 times then figuring them out that way)

lol I don't think he is referring to that. Out of shield game changes don't require as much adapting as Out of state changes.

sheik's OOshield game is pretty good. in fact it might be the best after the spacies. imagine being a falcon player, it's so hard

The u-smash tech chase sucks I do it because it's fun. Simple grab and dash attack are better. The only good thing about u-smash is that sometimes you can get easy uair combos and u-tilt combos or another u-smash but dash attack = more easy tech chases OR all those things so it's better.

While were on topic. What is your guy's go-to OoS reaction?

I think OoS is the weakest part of my game and it needs improved with Sheik since she actually has one. N-air OoS I know is great, but I'm always worried about getting the nair out in time and by the time my opportunity is coming it seems like it has already passed. Roll is alright when people don't start reading it. Spot dodge? I need more foxes in East Lansing that pressure hard!

I can WD OoS very well and do so sometimes. When I'm being correctly pressured though, like nair --> shine, dair -->shine, dair, etc. I don't know when I am able to WD OoS. After their shine before an aerial in theory is when you do correct

Edit: Actually. I know my options the problem is my lack of experience with people forcing me to do so. Only experience can fix that :/. Pound 4!!!
