Isai Drop lasers, edgehop double lasers, shine waveland onto platforms, shield pressure(delayed aerials, double shines, shine grabs, etc)

I probably forgot a thing or two but that should be enough for now lol.

I want to expect better of you, but I know not to
my $0.02 is that when you half *** it for as long as Mango has, coming back is too hard because everyone has such high expectations for you, so the second you doubt yourself, you just half *** it again and blame your losses on not taking it seriously.

I hope he proves me wrong to an extent, but Falco beats Fox, so PP'll win anyway,.

doesnt it take 4 shines to kill at 0%? ground shine, air shine (waveland on top plat), fullhop shine, dj shine. In my head, the 3rd shine puts them high up, but not in the blastzone

also, i want someone to actually back up this "results back falco > fox" argument. I definitely disagree with that, especially because the character match-up isn't really as important as the player matchup.

So what made mango motivated to try again? where did this sudden "mango's coming back" thing come from? apart from facebook, i mean whats the

results say good foxes suck at the match up for some reason.
1: "X beats Y"
2. "How so? Y players have consistently proven that Y wins the matchup"
1: "Yea but X wins in a completely abstract and nigh unprovable way, everyone just hasn't realized it yet for 10 years"
2: ":glare:"

Edit: I think he'll go Falco and then if I beat that he would go Puff. Odd Fox CP could happen though.
My comeptitve sprit has kind of taken a hit the last few weeks, but hearing those words from mango has brought me back to life in a sense. MaNg0 is back!!:)

i think you can take mango's falco in dittos. His puff and fox though, gotta put in extra work for those 2 when he's on his ****.

You got this PP ;)

hopefully Lucky, Jeff (SS),Hugo, and Zhu start playing more now...haven't really heard much from WC in a while. Not to mention I see Azen and Chillin are making a comeback. Where you at KDJ?

on the subject of fox vs. falco:
if the falco player is better, he wins.
if the fox player is better, he wins.
if they're of relatively equal skill level (assuming high level play), it can go either way.
debating whether it's 50-50 or 55-45 in either's favor is so pointless because at that point you have similar viewpoints on the match-up but a different interpretation of the point-based matchup system. the match-up is also heavily dependent on playstyle and Super Theory Bros. is a boring game.

Which brings back the point that Lovage is great against Falco.

PP, your going to beat Mango. /fanboyism

Why can't everyone accept an even match up between Fox and Falco? That match up seems very stage dependant anyway, just by watching videos.

How do people do that crazy Shine-D-Air outside the stage?
I'm imagining it's Shine- JC, Double Jump D-Air? Whenever I try it I always SD :(

Either you try to do it too low so your firebird can't reach the edge, or you are simply dairing to late or fast falling after the dair.

do these inputs (assuming you are in proper spacing offstage for the shine to hit):

down b->up->downcstick->back/towardstage

if you perform it fast enough, your shine will connect and you will immediately jump and dair then move backward to the stage so you can land on the ground (or upb, i suppose, though usually people do it pretty close to the stage)

If you ever wanna disrespect someone

from real low% near the edge

Shine -> Wavedash out -> Tomahawk -> Jab reset -> F-smash -> suicide Dair

Disrespect is for the weak. He who disrespects his opponent disrespects himself.

Why is it so hard to wave-shine? You would think it's just wavedashing after Shine
but is it that the Shine alters the wave-dashing timing? Or that is it? I've always wondered

It feels a little different if the shine hits them or not. You're likely just messing the timing up though. Once you get the muscle memory for it wave shining is cake.

Ahh I see. Is Reverse Lasering an absolutely necessary technique? I feel there are better options a lot of the time
and the fact that you need to barely move the control stick leads to a lot of Forward-B suicides
and if you get hit your DI is just awful :(

I'm not sure what you mean by reverse lasering, but being 100% mobile while lasering is SUPER important. Ideally, you need to be able to be moving back and forth across the stage and able to turn around laser at any point.

And yes, Forward B suicides are just a part of playing spacies. If that stick doesn't get back to neutral before you press B you (probably) die, so it's important to be really good at that. Forward (who semi-invented Falco) was short for Forward B because he used to SD like that so much. haha

And yes, yes it is, so don't laser if you suspect they're going to hit you unless you know that laser is going to prevent them from doing so. Lasering is laggy (you're helpless with your gun out in the air if you miss) so it's important to be watching your opponent closely because your laser is often their opening.

yeah that's what I meant by reverse lasering when you turn around and laser
lol I probably should have been more clear
but yeah I need to work on my mobility
I'm still too slow
>.> and not technical enough with Falco
but he takes years of practice :(

Not the tech skill. You can get the required tech down in a month, tops. The rest is a mental game and that takes years of practice.
