reminds me of the glitch with ICs where you can teleport nana back onto a platformK, so a few hours ago, my friend and I saw something extremely weird while playing.
DL64, I was Falco, he was Luigi. He stood on the top platform, used down-B, and fell off while doing it. I jumped off the left platform, interrupted his down-B with a laser... and all of a sudden, he was back on the top platform. He wasn't even near it when my laser hit him. It was as if my laser had instantly sent him back in time a few seconds. We tried to recreate it, but gave up after a few attempts.
So, does anyone know wtf happened?
Sounds like the Falcon just meteor cancelled...reminds me of the glitch with ICs where you can teleport nana back onto a platform
edit- recently i was watching a couple friends play, one was falco the other falcon. falcon jumped offstage to do an edgeguard but got hit by a sideb but it sent him up and back onstage. I didn't notice it at first, but then someone pointed it out and my mind was blown.
Well right now I'm working on my shield pressurewhat are you trying to do? multishine or sh out of your shine?
regardless, it comes with practice. Mistakes must be worked through, theres no simple answer besides "just do it" when you get to the more technical stuff.
Why would he do that? He IS the doctor. ;D@PP: Name this thread I Need A Doctor.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO don't switch!!!@Kage, I'll bust out my fox to whoop you next time we play
@DruggedFox Nah, no joke. I've been trying to convert to maining falco for a long time, but I always lose confidence in him and use fox for important matches. I literally never use him anymore though. He bores me to tears. I did 10 hours of smash practice the other day and used him for maybe 10 or so matches at most. I may start banning PS if I fail to find confidence in my falco and instead end up using fox. The way I figure it is I'll get camped the same on FD, so I may as well ban PS and if I get CP'd to FD then I can CG them. Honestly, I HATE CG'ing space animals and I think it completely ruins the fox v fox or fox v falco matchup, but if it really comes down to it, I'll do what I need to if it means going farther in a tournament.
@Rubyiris i know falco has an advantage there. I was just getting frustrated and rushing at them and getting ***** for it.
I lol'd xDhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6Pj-eB8sxY#t=00m05s
I actually recommend that everyone watch this. Your mind will be blown.
In terms of raw "what I can do with this hit" Falco might have better startups but I feel like Fox can make a lot of....momentum type of combo startup from stray bairs that don't actually "combo" and stuff like that.I think it's the laser on top of everything else but you guys are convinced that Falco combos and combo sertups are worse than Fox combos so the discussion literally can't go further since that's a big thing...
At least you guys (kind of) recognize that lasers don't suck now though.
That's extremely unlikely. XDLmao JulesVerne
What if they powershield your powershield?

Well.....alright then. I'll carry on with my silly theory bros ideas anyway. =)You'd lose the argument.
Falco beating Fox is not about just you or the Falco players doing more to win in the match-up. The top Falco players have consistently beat the top Fox players for the last 6 years. Pretty much all of them. In the face of observation and ample amounts of evidence, the smash theory you dole out about the match-up may even be 100% correct and you would still be wrong. This is one of the many, many reasons that no one wins at Super Theory Bros.
edit: the ultimate irony here is that you're the only person that can't even prove me wrong, since we can't find a falco of your caliber to pit your fox against.
Eh on FoD and especially YS Fox can abuse his room outside of Falco's control area(mainly the ground obviously) to work that big Bair he has among other tools to put Falco on the defensive really quickly(which Falco never wants obviously). FoD can switch up how effective Falco's moves are due to varying platform height so that stage is weird for me lol. I'm good on BF so I'm not sure if it's me being good there or Falco having that move control over Fox that helps him out there. May be the way the platforms are set up.The points you made YS/FoD are almost completely backwards as I see it.
especially this sentence "On FoD YS and DL, Falco has to play more risky to get anything started versus Fox."
smaller stage = less room for fox to move = less risk for falco to initiate attack.
the height and width of the platforms on yoshis and fod make them perfect for falco to control at will with uptilts, bairs, upairs, fairs, and pretty much whatever the **** falco feels like. He doesn;t have to predict where fox is going, fox has no where to go. Prediction plays a much much bigger role on Dreamland, PS and to a lesser extent BF because of the size of the stage.
So yea, your reasoning for why stages are good in the matchup is completely backwards as far as i see it.
he still plays with the westchester county players casually but doesn't really go to tournies (not sure if that will change).
Haven't seen that in years, pretty funny stuff haha.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6Pj-eB8sxY#t=00m05s

I've done this with a CPU Ganon. He up-Bs and I think I lasered him when he was really high and he "teleported" back onto the ground. Mad odd.K, so a few hours ago, my friend and I saw something extremely weird while playing.

So he went up like Fox's side B and he didn't just DI up and onto the stage and get pushed down into it suddenly? Weird....reminds me of the glitch with ICs where you can teleport nana back onto a platform

Try a different playstyle that feels better for you? Getting creative in any way(movement, edgeguarding, combos, etc) that helps you enjoy Fox again would be great.@ Unknown, I gotta find a way to make Fox fun again x_x
yea but he can do that on any map. i find on YS/FoD its less effective because fox has less to work with because of the nature of the stage which benefits falco overall imo.Eh on FoD and especially YS Fox can abuse his room outside of Falco's control area(mainly the ground obviously) to work that big Bair he has among other tools to put Falco on the defensive really quickly(which Falco never wants obviously).
FoD is definitely weird and most players in general dislike the map and it really comes down to how comfortable you are on the stage. I don't recall seeing any sets of you playing vs a Fox on that stage tho so idk, have any in mind you could point me towards?FoD can switch up how effective Falco's moves are due to varying platform height so that stage is weird for me lol. ya DL is gay, i think its fox's best stage in the matchup after FD.Falco can't control Fox on DL very well due to the size of the stage and platforms, so I guess I see what you're saying about prediction being more important there.

i've seen u play it vs marth/sheik/ditto and from what i see you do well on it despite expressing discomfort for it.
Congrats. Any vids?Sup Falco boards.
Tourney yesterday. Got 5th. Lost to GG7 and Silly Kyle, but I managed to beat Axe in winners bracket. He beat me g1 in Falco dittos, I beat him g2 in Falco dittos, and I beat his Pikachu on Battlefield game 3. I went all Falco this tournament.
Tai's uploading them. I have recorded sets vs:Congrats. Any vids?
I like the combos I can pull off as Falco vs Fox, plus the ceiling lets me get those sexy shine/firebird kills off the top of the stage. Also, I enjoy Randal being there for me when I get shined offstage.i think the platform shape/height/something makes YS good for fox. it's just like... any place that falco wants to stand, if fox is on a platform he can put a bair uncomfortably close to falco. it's not the overall size of the stage, just the way the platforms cover ground.
i love YS vs fox though, b/c at the same time he cant runaway easily so you can corner him. i just feel really comfortable on YS in general so it's hard to say if my opinion makes sense or not, but um. that's my useless two cents >.<
yeah the platforms definitely benefit falco during combos, but i think they work in fox's favor strategically otherwise.I like the combos I can pull off as Falco vs Fox, plus the ceiling lets me get those sexy shine/firebird kills off the top of the stage. yeah he went in a small upward arc towards the center of the stage (i assume he was DIing that direction) then landed. idk if he teched or not tbh xDppmd said:So he went up like Fox's side B and he didn't just DI up and onto the stage and get pushed down into it suddenly? Weird....
