Common sense folks, if someone pauses the game without permission, report them and they'll lose the match

This is important talk, it's about the rules. We want to be sure if we can pause the game so we cant lose any match.

Why the hell would you pause the game in a serious match. That can fall under the line of cheating. The fact that people are second guessing if this is legit is straight stupid.

Pauseing the game can screw over DI (wether screw your enemies DI or help yours when you was gonna DI bad but see an attack coming and get ready for it) "Oh because it is not in the rules" You know how stupid that sounds? Pulling out your enemies controller in a match is not in the rules, does that mean you should do it when you are losing so you can get a free stock off?

Pausing isn't against the rules at a lot of tournaments. For example, this tournament makes no mention of it.

It is because of people like this who post BS without even knowing what are they are talking about that's bugging me off. Then you blame it on us from wanting things clarified; GIVE me a BREAK dude.

Are you kidding me? You can't just pause the game, I mean if theres a LEGIT REASON then ask your oponnent b4 doing so I guess, how the **** is this even a topic? Get some common sense, my God.

WE know sometimes people pause by mistake or sometimes it is really needed to. But come on, some people do it because they do it in friendlies a lot and they don't realize they did it on a tournament match. All we want is thing being clarified.

Its not like we are, "ZOMG dude YOU PaUsEd the game, **** yOu!!!" even thou hes choking over there and dying. All I want is no random pausing for no good reasons.

Pausing should only be done if there is a good reason. In case of controversy i'm sure a TO will be able to judge wether it was legit or not based on what the players and witnesses say. I kinda don't want a specific rule saying "no pausing. Period" since legit reasons do happen. And as someone else mentioned with for instance pulling out your opponents controllers, there's just too many silly little and obvious things to write them all down (physical contact and excessive distractions are two other examples) and if someone do these things i imagine the player will be disqualified.

Another reason to just finish your match people. No lame "no contest".
