How about Azen? He said he was going to go, but he's not registered.
lol...how ironic that this tourament is in the MD/ Va area yet its inhabitants are the biggest procrastinators ever.

Yea...Azen is going, along with Chu, Chillin, Kirbstir. They'll all prob. just register at the same time.

D'oH, and Lobos are one of the very few from MD/VA to have actually registered already.

I'm gonna leave this here.

Whoever pauses the game in one of my matches is getting that Round of the match DQ'd. I don't care who it is. It's just too annoying and ticks you off that someone presses start in the middle of the match. Please stop doing that because I don't want you to get 1 round of the set lost just because you decided to press start. (unless is a ragequit I'm fine with that) :)

Plank, any info about the pausing issue.

PS. Melee peach player wins! Brawl peach players drama too much, which is fun to watch. lol

Yeah, I remember, lol. I still remember when they did something close to that with Fox, Sheik or Marth a long time ago for Melee.

Not just Brawl matches, Melee matches too.

They're just sore losers.

I love how people (especially on YouTube) think I'm "rage quitting" when I reset the match when I miss a rest and I'm at 120% last stock.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOL

and don't be hatiing on the puerto ricans!
Sorry Hbox, I didn't mean you, I meant the match where M2K ragequitted with 1 stock left after you landed a rest. :p

And against DJ Nintendo, too.

What a loser.

I'll take a potato chip....and eat it!!!
It's a mental thing. There are just some matches where you get hit by EVERYTHING. If you know how it's gonna turn out and you want to start anew....then just pause it. That's an instant loss of the match anyway. That's what I saw him doing at Winterfest.

Would you rather M2K do what he did at RoM and just randomly SD? It's a bit quicker to just pause it.

Case in point...get your focus back, then go. Don't try to turn a match around if you lost hope in it. That seems to be the line of reasoning for some people. I dont' fault them for that...it's just a different way of playing.

He turned that match around because Shiz ran right into his 'trap'. Making a comeback against a jigglypuff is also much more difficult then getting gimps on falco.

Pausing isn't against the rules at a lot of tournaments. For example, this tournament makes no mention of it.

But look at what he did against Shiz. He turned the match completely around in RoM and won. He probably doesn't believe in comebacks anymore.
It's a momentum thing.

Just as was stated, if you're getting hit by EVERYTHING and you're COMPLETELY down in that match, you AREN'T going to be coming back, because believe it or not, your opponent is a person of similar skill, and they've got momentum in their favor.

Comebacks happen when one player becomes too cocky, and starts to make mistakes.

Up against a top player though, that's not gonna happen.

As for pausing, people button mashing sometimes pause, and I don't have a problem with it, the only time I DO have a problem with it is when they immediately unpause directly afterward like they didn't do anything.

Sure, if there's no rule then I'm going to pause the game every time you are outside of the stage so you can die faster. /sarcasm

I have yet to see a game where pausing is allowed and people let it go. Stop being scrubs...
