Here's my new creation - Borchooga. Drawn in a couple of hours, completely from scratch. This is my idea of a Grass-type Legendary, despite it being Grass/Fire. The original concept was to make a bamboo-based Pokemon, but it ended up looking like a torch in the process, so I incorporated that concept, and merged it with a frog for the leg structure. It also resembles a jack-o-lantern with its cut-out eyes, lit by the fire inside.

Well, you called it a legendary, so I guess there's no hope for a chili-pepper unevolution...
It's legendary as of now due to its size, but I had originally planned to make it a third stage of a three-part evolution, so perhaps I will continue to do so sometime else. Who's to say that it can't be semi-legendary though, sort of like how Arcanine is considered "legendary" despite that it's not.

Hm...

It actually looks more steel than grass to me. Try making the green part look less like something built and more natural.

It still looks awesome though. You did a really good job.

Yeah, I friend of mine pointed out that it somewhat resembles Rayquaza. I'm going to go back and rework it some to seem more organic, along with creating its pre-evolutions. I'm well aware that types are not based on color schemes, so don't get me wrong if that is how you perceived my intentions in its design. As I said, it was originally based off of bamboo, but branched far from that, and in that process, I guess I lost the idea of it being a plant. Thanks for the suggestion though.

why don't you make only one pre-evolution which evolves with leafstone, and no gender so it can be a grass counterpart to arcanine and ninetales

Because in no way could this ever be a grass-counterpart to Arcanine and Ninetails, who are mammalian. Since they are both canines, I would have to make a grass-type canine two-stage family.

Although it does not need a thunderstone to evolve, Electrike and Manectric are very similar to Growlithe and Arcanine.

UPDATE on Borchooga. I have designed his pre-evolution stages, now all that's left is that I draw their sprites. I'll be busy for a few hours, but maybe I'll make them later tonight.

Wow, this is very nicley done pokemon, Imagin the flamethrower this creature could bestow on the opponet. It does look steel in a way,due to the ridgetness of his structure, I dont know if theres a way to make it a bit softer looking. But its great so far.

How did you come up with the name Borchooga anyway?
I don't know what he did, but it sounds like lettuce in spanish (lechuga) and bamboo, but that's just me.

I was gonna make a request with it to:)
Spire, when do you come back so I know when I can't fulfill requests, and also Borchooga could be a grass starter instead of pseudo-legendary:)

6 - THE DICE CREATES AN EXPLOSION THE SIZE OF THE SMART BOMB BLAST RADIUS WHEN IT IS AS LARGE AS POSSIBLE.  DOES 18% DAMAGE.  DELETES AT 110%.  PROBABILITY 5%.
NOTE: MEGAMAN SWINGS HIS LEFT ARM AT HIS SIDE AND PULLS OUT A DICE. HE HOLDS IT TUCKED UNDER HIS BODY IN HIS LEFT HAND. How did you come up with the name Borchooga anyway?
I don't know what he did, but it sounds like lettuce in spanish (lechuga) and bamboo, but that's just me.

For the name, I crossed bamboo with torch and I took the 'g' from frog. Lechuga fits very well though; maybe I subconsciously incorporated it. I can't wait til you guys see its pre-evolutions. You're gonna flip. I'm gonna flip. Like flip flops.

Oh, and I don't think I'm going to be fulfilling requests anymore. I'm kind of in my own create-new-pokemon zone right now, and requests will hinder that. Please zrky, continue with fulfilling them.

Wait, like never fulfilling requests again, or just for a while? I suppose you do really shine with creating your own Pokemon, but as Meta-Kirby said, you're probably the best of us all. (No offense to anyone else)

Thank you Firus and Meta-Kirby. If I'm the master at making completely new Pokemon, then you, Firus, are the master at taking requests and pumping them out. You know how to get the job done, and you do it **** well. As for you Meta-Kirby...

... you know how to stretch pages.

I will no longer take requests unless I want to, which is probably as often as finding a shiny. I'll leave that that to you guys, as it is something you really enjoy doing. The reason I stopped was because the enjoyment factor sunk far down under the sea for me, but now that I've discovered a means of enjoying spriting, I'm contributing. I want to inspire you all with my own original work.

Back when first gen was new, there was a rumor that you could get an evolution of Pikachu called Pikablu (as in an alternate evolution that's not raichu).

The blu in it's name isn't meant to be the color.

But, Pikared sounds pretty cool.
