Florida confuses me with their zaney results.

i mean it has to be legit tho Seibrik and Co18 clearly broke Top 16 or 32 @ Pound 4.

This might be a stupid question, but...

Hungrybox plays Brawl? And placed higher than almost every other DDD?

he doesnt really practice outside of tourneys or pays attention to the metagame or anything but hes alwayts played.

Meta Knight needs to be banned. The simple fact is that people will continue to complain about how characters that will NEVER become viable in tournament play can't compete with Meta Knight there (although most people can tell you that isn't there only problem). The characters that are made more viable by the Meta Knight ban will only become a little more popular and will probably still fall apart once the rest of the population follows suit. More Diddy Kong, Ice Climbers, Marths, Snakes, and Dededes. That's all we have to look forward to. Regardless, once Meta Knight is banned people can realize what little it actually changed and put him back in the game. The anti-ban people can then use the ban as an example of why he shouldn't be banned.

A lot of people underestimate Ness vs. MK. He's no counter or anything, but the MU is kinda close.
Ness' fair spaces MK well, PK thunder ***** MK in the air (his lazer sword can't swat it away) and Bthrow kills hella early. Hell, if it wasn't for gimping, I'd say Ness>MK, but with all considered it's around 55-45 MK.

I can't really see that... MK has a far better ground game and I can't really imagine PK thunder shifting the matchup that much. Does MK have anything good on Ness as a grab release?

for a whopping 12 damage.

People really make MK out to be too good. They over exaggerate his pros and completely ignore his weaknesses. it's like me when I talk about sheik except here its okay.

Florida is too good. If you are looking for the best whatever check Florida first.

Ness is quite good at avoiding the grab though. If he's spacing right, which he can and should be doing, grabs will be minimal.

About PK thunder: MK has a slow fall speed, terrible aerial mobility, can't swat the thunder away, and dies early.

This means if he has been sent up, he's GOING to be hit my this. MK really can't afford this damage due to the ever-daunting Bthrow.

Not saying PK thunder in the new MK counter, but it's quite good in this MU.

Honestly I'm not even really pro ban on planking and scrooging techs. Its really like kids(thats my term for people, no insults intended) run into an a wall, and instead of try to find a way around it they want to blow it up. Sure I'll don't mind giving a yard or two. but banning MK as a whole? and over what? No that is just way too far.

MK as good as he is is beatable.

I find it hilarious that people look at this sentence "You have to be better than your opponent to win." like it shouldn't make sense.

45-55 is still really extreme. MK isn't exactly easy to grab wither and Ness really doesn't want to be in grab range too much. Ness will have trouble hitting with any of his other KO moves. Fair is still good but Ness' other aerials won't work as well on MK as they do on the rest of the cast. Throw in MKs far far better recovery and I really don't see how this matchup can be any better than 40-60 for Ness.

DEHF took me to 14th game -.-. GF went to game 10 of 10. The gimp I did to win the first set 3-1 was nothing different than I do in Melee all the time. I guessed right and killed him. If he jumped instead of air dodging he would have won, but I remembered how he lost to Chu by air dodging after being thrown off, so I just waited for it. It's very annoying to constantly be discredited by being "gay" just by winning. What about the fact that we went like dead even the entire time?

edit - i did not post MK is gay i don't know who did. Just saw that

Actually if it ever gets to the point where MK is SURE to get banned (not saying it'll ever get there) after being at TP4 and watching Larry, I'm convinced that making it so MK can only CP neutrals would completely and utterly balance him out and make him unbannable. Not that it should be done right now. But if it gets to that point, making it so he can't CP counterpick stages and can only CP neutrals would be far better for the community than an outright ban, imo.

My biased opinion is biased, though...

I thought he 3-1'd you first set grand finals? Or was it a 3-2?

We know MK can lose. We've seen it happen. We also know the better player should win. The question is if MK is in the game is the better player winning? Of course some characters are going to have an advantage but at a certain point the character advantage becomes big enough that you don't need to be a little bit better than your opponents but a lot better. Some people think MK reaches that level.

Oh yeah, I'm totally anti ledge grab limit. I agree with you fully here and also on the last part in quotes, because people really do think that doesn't make sense and it really is sad / hilarious.

People are just more willing to whine, complain, or cry for a ban than they are willing to admit that they are flat out beaten. No, they could not possibly be beaten! It must be a PROBLEM WITH THE GAME!

I really hate that mentality but so many people jump to that conclusion without ever attempting to gain any true knowledge of the game. The fact is that most people are just infinitely worse than they will ever be willing to admit to themselves.

Many <3's for you, <3.

I beat larry 3-1 first set. 4th game he was winning by %, but I did EXACTLY what chu did to larry, and grab him, and throw him off the level, then he air dodged cuz he got scared, then i stage spiked him. That only worked cuz I guessed right. It's a lot more luck-involved than any gimps done in like, Melee for example. Grand finals went to 10th game out of a possible 10. I won 3-1 in WF, then lost 2-3 first set, then won 3-2 second set. It was very fun. (I agreed to battlefield because I think MK can **** falco there but I guess I was wrong? *shrug* better than smashville and FD anyway <_< )

I assure you Ness does not go anywhere close to even with MK. How many MK's actually know the matchup? Heck hardly anyone period does. If the MK knows the match up i guarantee you it almost no contest for the MK.

Come to Texas, we will show you.
