As for Captain Falcon...he's like Rocky Balboa in Rocky 1 Only. He's the underdog with a chance so everyone always rallies behind falcon and he always goes the distance with the champs but doesn't get the victory.

@Peach:

iirc armada thinks she loses to fox (6-4 ish) puff (6-4ish), marth (55-45) , falcon. Even to slight advantage vs falco/sheik.

I agree with almost everything ;o

leffen sometimes i think you and armada are secretly the same person. I then realize you have some epic sets on youtube. I'm still not certain armeffen (or is it leffmada?) wouldn't be able to play on both controllers at once, though, so i haven't abandoned the theory.

Everyone who knows me as leffen always find new stuff to "leffen". Most commonly its, "armadffen", "derpffen" (sounds better in swedish) but when appropriate people also use "leff"... Me and Fuzzyness team is called "Leffyness" for example lolll


Dunno about sheik really in NTSC, thats one of the matchups I haven't really discussed w/ him. I just know about the PAL matchup

I just can't reconcile the amount of dead space Marth can control with his sword proximity. Sheik actually has a projectile, has a reliable move/set-up to fish for kills with, and I still don't think that's enough to compensate. Unfortunately, you'll never see this effective range in action because Marth's have a ****ing stagnant metagame based entirely around poorly copying a player from half a decade ago.

Marth wins in terms of match-up comparison.

Marth fares better against: Fox, Falco, Puff (I think), Peach, Ice Climbers.
Sheik fares better against: Head-to-head, Falcon.

Past that tier, they both beat everyone. There's a prevailing attitude that Sheik ***** the (of little significance) lower echelon harder, though I think that ties into my earlier point of Marth's being stupid and not effectively realising they have a ****offenormous sword to hit bad characters with.

i think marth doing better vs falco and fox is a myth based largely on M2k's ability to kill on every single hit. Sheik and marth probably do about the same vs spacies, which is to say both are evenish.

also, i think sheik might beat peach harder in ntsc

It's not as simple as "swing your sword". After about 7 or 8 years of getting hit by a sword eventually everyone with sense realized you can avoid the sword. Marth's best pressure attack is what? double jab? looooool. As for Marth vs Spacies I agree he has it better than Sheik. That could just be FD bias speaking though. in the Absence of FD I'm not sure he has it much better on them. Puff I'd say so. Peach yes/no depending on PAL or NTSC. IC's yeah. Falcon...Falcon vs Marth is about even-ish. Sheik vs Falcon is Even or 90-10 depending on how bad Sheik wants to win.

As for Marth and sheik vs everyone below B-tier. It's bad for everyone but Sheik NTSC dominates everyone else where as marth just kind of gets by. I've seen some good Marth's taken out by good Samus, Ganon, Doc, Mario, Luigi, Pika, Link, Yoshi, and even Kirby players. So as silly as it is Marth is usually outplaced by sheiks these days simply because he has a harder time with characters who sheik dthrow *****.

i hate to say it but fox and falco are still the best. Im not really sure about peach, I think that either
A, everyone is super hyped about Armada
or
B, armada is actually displaying peach's potential and she should be higher.

However i dont know enough about peach to have an opinion, these are just the two options that i am seeing.

I'm a little sorry Roy doesn't have much Koing potential, I wish he had more and he can be higher.

umm no.

I'd give the MU a 50-50

Why because has its usual im so over powered with my metal legs and all that jazz. Marth can still contain Fox Fairly well thanks to its Range and spacing. However Fox has the shine which murders Marth. But Marth can grab combo Marth for like a decade.

So basically Fox has these. The usual Up-throw Up Air stuff. and shine combos/gimps.
Marth has his usual spacing and great off-stage play.

The neutral play isnt too bad for either Character, I mean Fox cant be an *** and laser all day to be an ***, but still has great stage control. Both characters have the abiltiy to death combo but Fox does have the uber hand, both can gimp well.

So I would not say, that Fox wins hands down by any means.

As for Sheik, I couldnt even go there, I dont know nearly enough about the MU. Other then Sheik can combo well and tech chase down-throw forever(Usual Sheik Shenanigans)
