I disagree. I believe he think's the phrase "I don't think" should be number one on the tier list. Because, let's face it, how many of us actually think? It makes a lot more sense than anything else that could go there.

It's not that hard to play melee at that level once you have reached it before, apparently. We all barely played for months. Maybe once a week at most.

Couldn't say it better myself lol

i hate when i am thinking one thing but forget to write it all out lol (which is what i assume happened to u here)

:phone:
LOL meant to say that I don't think Peach should be number one like is being suggested by a few people, thank you for pointing that out for me.

Puff is terrible.
Jigglypuff has the results of a low tier

No one knows how to play vs Jigglypuff.

Jigglypuff cannot react to things, she needs bold reads to get anything.

Jigglypuffs back air spacing is one of the most overrated things in the game and requires immense amounts of skills to use at a high level

Jigglypuff loses to:
Fox (big)
Falco
Marth
IC's
YL
CF
Yoshi (not kidding)

Things ppl need to do against her:

-Option select. This is something ppl suck soooo bad at. You can easily option select so that her "tomahawks" (her only real option against shields) becomes worthless. With this you can simply run into her spacing and force her to forfeit space to safely space on your shield

"Option select" DI against her grab/utilt/upair
While shield pressuring her with spacies, always fast fall/shine by holding the analog stick down+forward. If you wanna be even more safe, hold straight to the side where your shield pressure is grabable.
Holding down+forward/back doesn't make you spotdodge or roll while shielding, so use it whenever she has a ->move->rest.

-DI/Tech/React better. You see PP getting Uthrow rested all the time. You see PP get pound->jab reset->rested. Lots of players get roll tech->rested. Its still common for puffs to get multiple rests by baiting a side b on stage and resting it (whenever you see her sit there, just shorten your side b on reaction, makes this GIMMICK useless). Utilt/late uair->Rest is almost impossible to combo with proper DI.

These are things that should just not happen unless you screw up. Puff is simply too slow to cover to correct DI+Teching as long as the opponent reacts to where puff is.
All of the above are faults of the players, not strengths of Jigglypuff

-Punish better. Learn puff specific combos. Learn to only get second hit uairs with fox (works up to 111%, regardless of DI!). Having trouble timing jumps out of uthrows/etc because of her light weight? Buffer jump with Cstick+Shield to get your combos EVERY TIME (great with Docs dthrow fair esp)

-Lightshield camp. ***** every kind of utilt and makes it useless on shield.

-Platform camp. She can barely space at all against proper platform camping since she moves so slowly vertically and since her last jumps barely help her, you can drop onto her for free if she tries to get onto a platform. Lightshielding/Shield Dropping annihilates every poke from below (and since she is so slow she cannot land/get on the same level as you)

I could go on, but this will probably just be forgotten anyway.

Im not gonna hand feed you all with my own technology.
LMAO

wow gotta hand to you great followup
you're a bad ****ing player

your anecdotal evidence means nothing

Im not saying that it makes up for it, but its an advantage when you compare his shield to someone like DK, Mewtwo, Pika where it barely helps at all if you angle it.
-dead-
Also what the hell is an Option Select and why does it have such a misnomer of a name.
look into other FGCs the names/slang are starting to all collide lol

the thing is, if the tier list is a prediction as to who will win at high levels of play, why isn't fox winning everything? In theory he is uber godly, and he still has godly traits at human level play. he has no bad matchups, blah blah blah
So if fox has the highest probability of winning nationals, why hasn't he in so long, and so far in between? I'm not gonna jump to any conclusions here but theres something downright wrong if the best character with the most people playing him by far doesn't win ****. Just a little confusing

An Option Select (or OS for short) is a technical tactic that covers two or more distinct options. It's called that, because it auto-selects an option.

Don't know any smash OS, but in Blazblue CT you can hold back and 3 buttons and it covered block strings and tick throws.
Oh, I play CS where there's an anti-mash system and MB where blockstrings are stronger and EX Guard/2A would negate something as silly as mashing when you're under pressure

Option Select is still a goofy name. Something like Multiple Function Action/Input would make a lot more sense and give you an idea wtf it is.

Also this thread moves more than a page a day, but from what I gather, this is something about Peach.

Probably top 3 at the moment.

peach wins trades, so there is no catch-all approach to the matchup.

there is no character strong enough to projectile camp her the whole game.

i think her worst matchups are sheik (NTSC) and puff because they have the mobility and moves to avoid trades.

Peach has some good options and moves like her Down smash, turnips, floating abilities, and forward throw. Armada also does very well with Peach in nationals.

I really wanna ask but is Peach really starting to become one of the very best now? It's been a while since I've really seen much Melee.

Peach is certainly making a strong case to be moved up the tier list thanks to Armada... however I think the overall is that she cant really be moved because the people above her cant really move either...

If you think peach should be moved up and fox isn't top 2 you have probably watched too many youtube videos and not played enough.

...Falco has options against Peach. Considering most Peach players wont advance and Falco has his lasers that stun. Meaning he can be a **** and camp a bit depending on the player.

Also Yes Falcon can combo peach fairly well, so depending on how smart the peach is, they will get torched, however its not like its a horrible MU.

ahh okay that makes more sense. Personally I Love the Falcon vs Peach. But not so much the Peach vs Falcon.. I find it doable but difficult unless they like running it my downsmashes.

Arn't they the same thing, but with Falcon I always NAIR to rack up the damage Dair to send them flying and always finish with the Knee.

With Falcon I rely a lot of grab combos, I mean you can d-throw for awhile and then combo out of that. I also like nair. And whenever they're floating away from me, I try to knee them in the hopes they attempt a trade(Works a lot against most Peach players I play against)

At low percents I love d-throw d-throw uair nair uair Knee. Generally works well.

also a perfect chaingrab combo, but personally after the down throws I will go for a DAIR since its so broken and can kill instanly near edges.

Also need to consider that both Falcon and Peach love Dreamland, which is a large stage, so anyway you can build up damage at low percents is great. So adding in the couple hits before the knee = Solid.
