As far as NA results, I really am drawing a blank on Sheik accomplishments. Has a Sheik ever beaten a top 10 MK recently (or ever?) or overcome bad matchups at high level play.

Sure we can talk about how Lucas has bad matchups on paper, but in practice, we see Mekos going on showing us "I can beat falco, mk, olimar, wario etc." and what do we see from our best Sheiks?

Sheik has little to nothing. Just like Sonic PT Ness and Yoshi the BBR will most likely have Lucas at bottom of Mid-tier at most.
Only difference is Sonic had 2 people to make something huge happen (MLG Dallas) PT is all Reflex, Yoshi mostly Polt and Delta, Lucas on the other hand has Mekos Pink Fresh and FAE doing work.

What do you guys think of it? Lucas is way high imo, Samus is not better than Mario, Olimar is too low, etc. I for one don't really agree with it.

Kirby seems to be in C tier twice.

Got a good chuckle out of Shielda's/Shiek's/Yoshi's/Mario's/IC's/Lucario's placements.

I meant Borderline as in Top mid. Like how ZZ mentioned it.

D3 has too much trouble against the most played characters to be considered a good character. Having good counters against mid and low and even a couple of top/high characters would make him one of the better decent characters. Some mid tiers have decent matchups against top tier also like Yoshi vs Wario.

Mario should probably be a little higher. Lucas could be below Luigi but he's not that high. Olimar is pretty fine but could be above Diddy.

Edit: I don't know why there's two Kirby, there was a bit of a disagreement on Kirby, or so I heard. I'm sure that may have to do with this. Lol, this is a tier list from a pretty small community of maybe 50 to 100 members. It's nothing.

Who do you think I was talking about with the "2 sonics" from MLG Dallas? Espy and X.
Also, Karamity and Yika don't have wins in their region comparable to what Polt and Delta brought in.
If anything Yika and Karamity helps in much better ways that doesn't involve spending money on tournaments.

Pink Fresh was more at the beginning of things and then he fell off and FAEand galeon had some shine for a little while but neither of them really did as much as PF and Mekos recently.

She is a counter to a few characters above her and doesn't get bodied as often as Lucas does.

If you're only counting results, Lucas would be probably ahead with Mekos. Actual character wise Shiek is clearly better than him and her MU spread realistically should also reflect that.

Well actually Pink Fresh said he'd be playing again like days after sktar and FAE is still going at it.

I just mean, not disputing other arguments, just putting that out there.

Sheik probably has props for the japanese community getting consistent placings with her. Even with Mekos it's going to take a little more before Lucas will see significant changes in his status, if that does happen.

It's OK to have a list that differs from results (we do it all the time) but results have to be the basis for our discussions. Lucas is doing a lot better than Sheik and has been for a long time, at least in the west. And while the Japanese use Sheik a lot, I don't see her do very well there either, relatively speaking... you could even say that any difference in Sheik's performance is because she's just used more in one region.

So, if you think Sheik is better, that's great (and I'd probably agree, even though I don't really think they're that far apart) but you're going to have to do better than "cuz I said so" or "because our match-up chart says so." There's a clear difference between what we think and what's happening that needs an actual explanation. Assumption is nothing.

Yes, his roll is also different than the other characters as he remains inside his egg as he rolls, making glide tossing impossible. Link and Toon Link have this same issue too for some reason, despite their shields being no different than other characters.

Can't Yoshi literally not glide toss, while Link and TL can actually glide toss but gain no distance?

It's a subtle distinction but it's there.

I personally have never lost to a sheik. Yea there are annoying things that she can do to us but that is the same for most of our matchups. You just have to find away around her tactics while utilizing our strengths.

And SFP, Yoshi has Double Jump Cancel item throw, so he doesnt really need glide toss cuz it covers the same purpose and is also a little more versatile.

Nah, I hosted a small one here in my town in April and got 2nd, though, the only competition was really Jamnt0ast and Kamaji.
