I do want to know why the US isn't getting special editions/ collector's editions/ bundle packs anymore...

Europe is getting all the cool stuff now

God that thing looks so bulky. LOL that doesn't seem like anything I want to be walking around playing.
With the 3DS' battery life, I don't really play it unless I have access to something to plug it in anyway.

Spoiler:
Mario Land has 8 special lands that are unlocked when you beat the game. Also, to get the final level you have to beat EVERY level perfectly with BOTH Mario and Luigi

You can only unlock characters in 150cc

new rainbow road is awesome.

SNES rainbow road is really dumb when you're lightweight. bumping into one person is basically death.

Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Kirby & The Amazing Mirror

Mario vs. Donkey Kong
Metroid Fusion

I was hoping I was somehow magically in the ambassador program. I know some people that bought it early enough AFTER the price drop got in

yeah, there was a pretty extreme loophole that people could have been a part of if they were paying close enough attention, to become an ambassador for much less money than the first wave purchasers.

i'm proud to be a true ambassador. i bought the 3DS a couple days after launch.

I'm disappointed there's no Pokemon Emerald, but I'm happy for Warioware, Yoshi's Island, Minish Cap, etc...

Holy crap all of those GBA games are really high-quality. I can't wait!

Did you guys notice that you can now use club Nintendo points to download eShop games?
I already have Xevious, but I just downloaded Minis March Again for 150.

I'm surprised they picked such good games!

It'll definitely keep me busy finishing them all

And I've always wanted to try out Fire Emblem, so this gives me a reason to do so! To anyone that's played it/the series, is it a good one?

It's not the best compared to the other handhelds (FE6/FE7), but it's still Fire Emblem and is fun to waste hours on

Kid Icarus was confirmed for 3/23/12, oh man I need a 3DS soon

Also I want F-Zero 3DS.. Think about it

wow im loving these games and unlike the nes games, these should last a while.

pushmo is extremely fun imo. ive almost finished it, because i couldnt put it down, and its still so much more to do because of the user created levels. ill post some examples when i get on a computer.

I'm guessing that it's a 3DS port of Pokemon Black/White.
...They are seriously going to port Black and White to 3DS?

...

I'm going to have to spend $80 on two games I already have, aren't I?

Even if they improve the graphics and such for Black and White I also wouldn't spend money to get them for that 3D look. Besides I doubt many people would want to start all over again.

Are there any plans to eventually release the GBA games to the general public? That's a pretty nice list of games....

Apparently they're Ambassador exclusive and Nintendo didn't have any plans of making them available beyond that.

They also said that about the NES ones and then changed their minds.

I'd say it's possible but unlikely.

I'm pretty sure they originally said the NES ones would be available to everyone at a later date, but they had no plans on releasing the GBA ones to the public.

These free games are available to anyone who owns a Nintendo 3DS system and uses a wireless broadband Internet signal to connect to the Nintendo eShop at least once or performs a system update before 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Aug. 11. These users will automatically be registered in the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador program. The program contains two elements:

  1. Starting Sept. 1, Nintendo 3DS Ambassadors will be able to download 10 NES™ Virtual Console™ games at no charge and before they are available in the Nintendo eShop to the general public. These games, including Super Mario Bros.™, Donkey Kong Jr.™, Balloon Fight™, Ice Climber™ and The Legend of Zelda™, are slated to become paid downloadable games, but Ambassadors get them early for free. Once the paid versions of the games are posted to the Nintendo eShop later in the year, the updated versions will be available to Ambassadors for download at no cost.
  2. By the end of 2011, Nintendo will provide Ambassadors with 10 Game Boy™ Advance Virtual Console games. These include games like Yoshi’s Island™: Super Mario™ Advance 3, Mario Kart™: Super Circuit, Metroid™ Fusion, WarioWare™, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ and Mario vs. Donkey Kong™. These games will be available exclusively to Ambassadors, and Nintendo currently has no plans to make these 10 games available to the general public on the Nintendo 3DS in the future.
