But realistically, the reason they didn't make it for 3DS (IMO) is because Pokemon always launches in like, September in Japan and March in America (etc.). Since the 3DS wasn't coming out in Japan till Feb/March... well, yeah, they couldn't do that.

Yeah, of course you could play it on the 3DS, backwards compatibility and all, however outside of the higher resolution there really is no other benefit. Might as well play it on my DS.

I am sure there is reasoning behind it all, your take on it could be valid. I just tend to think about what could have been in a lot of instances, and it would have been cool. I think the same thing on a lot of current PSP games being made that i wish would be saved for the NGP.

That was taken as an out of context rumor based on a common business tactic.
They're saying they have no plans for a 3rd game because Black and White are just being released and "who would buy those two if a 3rd more enhanced version is coming"

Likewise, one of the staff of GameFreak was surprised to hear the rumor and disproved it.

There will be a 3rd game; it's just a better business maneuver to deny the existence to bolster Black and White sales.

That's simply a matter of opinion that can't be contested either way.
You're sacrificing physical bulk for digital enhancement, and vice versa for the Phat.
It's not a matter of fact, it's opinion.

And yeah when you break it down that is obvious and the logical thing to do. You would take sales away from black and white if you were to say anything about a 3rd alliteration.

When they do make it one day though, lord knows i will be there getting it. I think i might skip out on B/W though. Guess we will see. I have heard great things about it. They always are great games.

Eh, i got it close after release, if not on release. It has been amazing to me. No issues with it at all. Besides at the time all the other alterations of it didn't exist.

The DSPhat is ugly, but that just adds to it's charm. The DSi is the best DS to me though. Like out of Phat/lite/i/XL, I prefer the DSi. It's the most comfortable and the buttons are the most satisfying to press.

I hope we don't get Grey next year, and instead we get enhanced remakes of Ruby and Sapphire... <3 <3 <3

I think I can come up with a better paper analogy, actually.

Hold a flat piece of paper, and read the words from left to right. The words go a certain length. After that, fold the paper away from you a bit. Now the words go a shorter length and you are able to see more of the paper because it now has depth to it. I believe that's what the guy in the video was talking about.

Just saying, Rayman 3D looks good. Also, try to play under decent lighting or at least put the lighting to maximum for better 3D.

Just to say that I read the terms and agreements, and there is a clause that says they have a right to brick your console or game if you fiddle with it. They will use a log system within the games. So technically, hacked DS games will still work since they have no logs. Hacked 3DS games... for your own good, don't make any modifications for now.

Face Invaders is particularly hilarious actually. I didn't get any games because I didn't like the release game lineup (bummer), but I demoed Pilotwings and Rayman and it really does look gorgeous.

And the charging cradle etc is cool.

And the 3D all round is just great.

Buy buy buy, line Iwata's pockets! Unlike the Wii this has a lot of delicious tech and real merit behind its approach. Think 3DS really will deliver, Nintendo handhelds always deliver.

I'm willing to bet that the entire launch list will be nothing compared to whatever comes out in the five or so years. Once developers figure out how to use the 3D tech to its fullest effect I'm sure we'll be seeing some very creative titles.

Kinda disappointed Rayman isn't getting good reviews...I like Rayman.

The real reason is it's just a port from the Dreamcast version of Rayman 2, nothing new save for 3D. So the graphics are subpar for this generation for example. You will like it if you like Rayman and want to play Rayman 2. But nothing will be new.

Also, there is alrewady an update availiable. It's a Wifi fix. After today, I will not have access to any proviledged info about the 3DS. I hope you enjoyed the stuff I dug up .

Well, I think it was more of a bugfix from what I heard. Originally, the 3DS was not as great at catching Wifi signals. When my friend and I tried it, it worked but glitched at times. The update seems to have fixed this.

So... trading in my dsLITE tommorow for one, fifty dollars off isn't bad for this thing. I'm getting my LE Zelda one still, though. Way I see it me and my GF both need 3DSes and she thinks the black one looks cool, so we'll just share this one 'till June.

Not getting a game with it though, Just going to play Pokemon XD
