and what prompted that decision?Well, that confirms it. I'm waiting for the second iteration for the 3DS.
I expect them to improve the 3D or make it safer for our eyes.
Also, I still have this.

Great to hear that the CPad(That is what I'm calling the Circular pad above the DPad) works very good.
I might go to the ones in Toronto...To celebrate the launch of the new Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo will be hosting events in Toronto and Vancouver on Sat:, March 26th, from 6:00pm to 12:00 am. There will be multiple Nintendo 3DS gaming stations onsite with a wide selection of 3D games such as Face Raiders, Pilotwings Resort, nintendogs + cats, Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition plus many more...
Arrive early for your chance to win free Nintendo 3DS toques and t-shirts (while supplies last). In Toronto, Virgin Radio will be onsite giving away Nintendo 3DS systems on the hour. Make sure to enter onsite for your chance to win!
Once you've had a chance to play Nintendo 3DS, stop by Future Shop Yonge-Dundas or Future Shop on Robson to buy the Nintendo 3DS early... These locations will be open at 12:00 am.
Event locations:
Toronto: Yonge-Dundas Square (corner of Yonge & Dundas streets)
Vancouver: TD Square (corner of Granville & Georgia streets)
Store locations:
Toronto: Future Shop, Yonge and Dundas
Vancouver: Future Shop, Robson
Didn't take that review seriously. A lot of the gripes were minor stuff or stuff that's going to be updated. So Cnet came out with its review on the 3DS. It got 3.5/5 stars. The main complaints being battery life, a lot of the internet functions are not activated at launch, launch lineup sucks, 3D effects can cause headaches or snap in and out of the 3D effect based on how you're holding it. And expensive for those looking for a "all in one device".

Stuff that will be updated = not having it ready on time. 3.5 = 7/10. That's a reasonable score for what it's offering currently.Didn't take that review seriously. A lot of the gripes were minor stuff or stuff that's going to be updated.

1) The systems will likely be scarce. Get them while you can, and you won't have to wait in lines in the future.I honestly don't see why one can't be patient and wait for better games or a better revision of the DS. Battery life is important to me, and I say no thanks to how long it can last currently with the 3D effects.
1. Um...you'll be able to find one by the holidays to say the least. This isn't the Nintendo Wii, where mommies and daddies will be buying it for family fun.1) The systems will likely be scarce. Get them while you can, and you won't have to wait in lines in the future.
2) The battery is replaceable. There have been batteries for the 3DS in Japan that have over double the lifespan than the original. Since launch.
3) There is no need for a revision so soon; and by the time they make one, there will be good games out for the system.
No reason not to get it early.
The holidays is November. I'd rather not wait six months for a chance of picking up the hardware.1. Um...you'll be able to find one by the holidays to say the least. This isn't the Nintendo Wii, where mommies and daddies will be buying it for family fun.
2. More money, even if it is 20-30 bucks, I'm already dishing out 250 minus any games. Why should I make it almost 300 with tax?
3. The DS Lite came out 2 years after the original one. I understand that's a long time to wait, but if you do, you'll be getting a more efficient machine with less bugs, and you will be able to purchase the games already out for a cheaper price. You'll be able to find OoT remake or whatever else you want on Craig's List for half the price.
Seriously, it's just rational thinking.
Also, what's the point of having the system if there are no appealing games to buy? Are you really going to spend 40 dollars on a game that will be more about the oogling 3D effects than anything else? Remember Wii Sports? Mario Party? And all those other naused to attract a casual audience.
