Has it been confirmed that it can do so via local wifi/lan?3DS can play online with any region.
Excellent. In your face, Nintendo! You're not screwing me for an extra 100 bucks!Online regular wifi has been mentioned specifically.

Man, I can't wait for this to come out here in the states in just about a month. Too bad the titles to select from aren't too stellar.
Are you ****ing serious.Seems the backwards compatability is so great it works with R4 devices. Whoops.
Good job Nintendo!Seems the backwards compatability is so great it works with R4 devices. Whoops.
Yeah...there are some exceptions to this, though.I generally consider it a rule of thumb that it's not worth dropping several hundred dollars on a new console at launch due to a vast majority of the launch library being little more than tech demos. It usually takes a year or two for enough worthwhile titles to come out on the console to warrant a purchase.
I don't know, I personally think that the PS2 was only worth getting at launch if you wanted a cheap DVD trailer. Honestly, at launch the most spectacular games were TimeSplitters 1 and SSX.Yeah...there are some exceptions to this, though.
Ps2 was a pretty good on buy console.
Wii was pretty lackluster with it's launch titles too, but TP made up for everything else IMO.Wii was a pretty good on buy console (I liked Brawl, Zelda, etc)
I'm not sure about that for me. We'll see if enough games I want for it are out by the end of the year. I'm really not that big of a hand-held gamer, I didn't get a DS until 2009.All this to say I'll probably get a 3DS by the end of the year...
Excuse my lack of knowledge on this subject, but what's an R4 device?Seems the backwards compatability is so great it works with R4 devices. Whoops.
It's a brand of flashcart that can be used for loading homebrew or NDS games from a micro SD card.Excuse my lack of knowledge on this subject, but what's an R4 device?

I wouldn't be surprised. Monster Hunter 3 was on the Wii and in Japan they even released a limited edition Wii just for that game.Monster Hunter 3DS...I call it.... please move away from Sony handhelds, coming next gen they'll be too expensive!
Awesome! I was just saying the other day to someone that I hoped that game came out on it as I never played it.Sonic Triple Trouble[...] have been announced as launch titles.
Well, if you have a Gamecube, you can get Sonic DX: Director's Cut. You can unlock all of the Sonic Game Gear titles over the course of the game. I also noticed that it's available on Steam for $9, but I don't own that version so I can't tell you if it comes with the Game Gear games and other bonus content . . . . . .Awesome! I was just saying the other day to someone that I hoped that game came out on it as I never played it.
Due to the 25th anni, and the fact some key games like Zelda come out later, I'm waiting on LE 3DS...Im actually a bit worried myself, but for different reasons. Im scared we'll get a 25th anneversary 3ds on june 7th. I plan on getting one at launch and i dont want to miss it
