I've never been comfortable playing fighters on a portable system. Controls are just too bleh for me, since I try to get competitive in them. Wish they would make a dissidia for PS3.

Street Fighter is definitely strange on the 3DS. Not bad, but this will take some getting used too.

All my computer SF'ing can just be done on PS3 anyways. <3

Do we all want to add each other? I'll add all of you guys. Why not?

Bought mine this morning at a wal Mart. They didn't even have them on display. I had to ask someone to go in the back and get it. They couldn't even find the games lol. I'm skiing right now so maybe tonight I can find a gamestop and buy a game lol.

The 3d looks pretty cool though!

Sf rabbids or pilotwings?

My brother bought a 3DS today, played the AR games and the face raiders games. Took some photos with the AR cards (had Link on my shoulder!) and played Pilotwings.

Pretty fun!

Got one today. Considering I've only had one DS ever (the brick DS) this is a huge improvement to me and buying one itself was worth the purchase.

Fun fact:
AR cards can be picked up from anything that looks like them. And the figurines scale up when the 'cards' are bigger.

:o hugesamus.

If it wasn't so terrible with distance I'd have a bunch of fun with this.
(Also for anyone with an Android phone, there's an app called 3DS AR Cards in the market, in case you ever lose yours.)

Is it me, or was advertisement for the 3DS terrible in North America? I've actually only ever heard about it online and a few times on tv and in gamestop.

Actually, advertisers walked around US and Canada with 3DS's for a full month and Nintendo was on several news channels and other shows like the Jimmy Fallon show. The game was also advertised after release. But yeah, TV adverts, I haven't seen any. Yet again, I barely ever watch TV.

I wanted to mention that DS Phat is still legit. The only reason I don't still use mine is because I dropped it like a ******. It still works, but the screens are out of whack.

Currently with a Lite. IDK if I'll get a 3DS. Probably not anytime soon.

I don't care about any complaints people have about the 3DS. People don't realize how much potential the next Pokemon (Gen 6) will have on this thing. After experiencing what the DS can do at its full potential with Gen 5, I already have HUGE expectations for Gen 6.

I'm positive the 3DS will take Pokemon to a whole new graphical level similar to how huge of a step Gen 3 was compared to its Game Boy Color Gen 2 counterpart.

And since I'm a huge Pokenerd... I'd buy the 3DS just for the series. But ofc there's plenty of other games I'll enjoy while I wait. ;)

Pokemon took until the end of the DS life cycle to get out a "full potential" game lol. I personally didn't find it all that much entertaining. Pokemon seemed a bit too pixilated in my opinion.

The Pokemon series has almost always been a hit or miss; you either really like it or don't. But considering Pokemon is Nintendo's (2nd?) most popular franchise, it's safe to say a good portion of people like it.

It's too bad you didn't enjoy the latest games in the series though. They've gotten the highest reviews from multiple sources for a Pokemon game in a loooong time.

EDIT: And yes the graphics have always sucked in Pokemon. Which is why I really look forward to Gen6. :)

Personally, I quit after the Silver/Gold Version. I mean, I enjoyed the game but there are just too many Pokemon, and I can't have that attachment to them as I did with the original 150. Call it nostalgia, but there was just something great about the original 150. I think it has to do with it being the first generation more than anything. Kind of how I prefer the first season of Digimon to anything else. I wanted to see Ash get all 150 pokemon...not release them, cause they had emotional issues.

I enjoyed the second season as well...but I think for me...I was interested in the games depending on my interest in the show. The show failed me, and I statred to see some flaws in the games as well =/.

Well the show got me into the games (cards included). I liked the first season, but **** started to get old real fast with the whole team rocket thing.

So is the region locking for the 3DS confirmed for everything or just DLC?

Try Streetpass and Mii Plaza. This thing is addictive (You need Wireless active). There's an amusing RPG. People's Miis you meet fight for you, to free you from some cage. And the more you meet, the higher their levels. You can also use your coins though. You get 10 per day.

Wait, isn't that basically how stereoscopic pictures where you cross your eyes work? Man I can't believe it took me so long to put two and two together

By the way, I was wrong. The coins you get are from the pedometer. Walk (Or sufficiently shake your 3DS) for 100 steps and you get a coin. (Maximum of 10 per day)

Yea, the cross eye trick is basically desyncing your eyes to look at two completely different images (that are traditionally side by side) to create the same effect. Though it's really hard. I can't do it :/

And I believe you can only hold 300 at max.

The fact that there is no messaging system kind of puzzles me, I bet they will add one in the future. How will Nintendo be able to send stuff to the system like it does with the Wii?

Interesting. A 3DS only costs roughly 100 bucks for Nintendo to make. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing.
