just wanted to know what the community thought. im leaning toward marth falcon but i think falcon wins that 51-49

IC vs Fox, those matches allways can go either way, and fox strong stages are usually close to as strong for ICs.

I agree with Falcon vs Marth though. I honestly think Falcon as a character has the most match-ups that feel even-ish at a high level.

a GOOD falcon can have close sets with Fox, Falco, Sheik, @ Marth while at the same time having close sets with Yoshi, Pikachu, Luigi, and Mario. *shrugs*.

But really there are like 649 match-ups not counting dittos. Too hard to really say a cut and clear answer with how the metagame keeps moving and likly it's something wierd like zedla vs roy or maybe some match-up where neither can approach right at all and it's slow blanced pokes at best

I think you'll find lots of people that will say Marth vs. Fox is the most even match-up in the game.

Marth/Fox is the classic answer to that question.

I mean its beautifully even...
Marth has gimps. Fox has shine.
Marth has chaingrabs. Fox has uthrow uair.
Marth has fair to grab. Fox has waveshine to grab.
Both dashdance like fiends.

Its actually one of the most balanced matchups I think you'll find in any game ever. The characters are very different in terms of their playstyle, so there is still variety, but are still equal in their bredth of options.

Plus, its an incredibly complex matchup thats really fun to play. A true example of how good this damn game is.
