Yep, you're right. I don't however advocate overusing "empty Shs" to low aerials vs. characters with good poking tools. Its good when you're already close to their shield, but don't approach with it. Because you spend the beginning of your jump not doing a move, you'll probably get hit before you get out your low aerial. Be careful to not get hit by fsmash, ftilt or an early dsmash.

yah it'll still go thru ur shield like 60% of the time even if you do that

i guess you could lightshield of z-shield but samus can still up+b you during your landing lag more often than not

its better to just space around her shield then try to fight it

i know from experience that outcamping samus is much better than trying to approach because eventually they will try to approach to you, which is what you want.
