I was talking to almo a little while ago about advice smashers give and the topic of flow charts came up so I started to wonder what each smashers flow chart consisted of, if you even have one. If you dont you should make one, they help immensly.

My flow chart looks something like this in a set

Step 1
use safe approaches, figure out their preferred style of avoiding attacks

Step 2
punish it appropriately and look for off stage gimps

Step 3
Repeat.

It actually gets a lot more complicated than that but I wont bore you with those details.

What does your flow chart look like?

I don't think there are any truely "safe" approaches in the game the best is falco's and it can be powersheilded back to help the other person appraoch.

As pichu I
say oh no I seem to have missed at picking fox and by mistake I picked pichu how so will I ever win.

run around confused trrying to confuse my foe because it's impossible to hit someone as pichu without some sort of mindgames.(if my tricks and junk work repeat)

get grabed and I LOL and lose a stock (if they don't repeat)

I lose laughing and counter pick with ice climbers and laugh even more.

As Sheik:

Grab -> Down throw -> Chase tech -> repeat step one through three -> Once they get to a % where they fall over from cc'd dash attack/tilts use those and try to set up for kills, alternatively, repeat step one through two -> slap/Bair -> gimp if necessary -> repeat

All depends on the character matchup. Sometimes I'm overly aggressive and wait to get hits and combo out of them, and other times I'm patient and wait for grabs. Really depends on the matchup. But basically it goes something like this:

1. Get a hit/grab
2. Pull off an amazing combo
3. Get gimped really stupidly
4. Repeat

1. Choose my lulzy main Samus
2. Start shooting missiles, run in with a fair or dair, or just wavedash/swd around.
3. Get combo'd.
4. Combo the enemy (as long as its not another floaty)
5. If it's fox or falco(n), I will no doubt go in for a grab
6. Miss the grab, get up smashed/shine combo'd/knee'd. If I get the grab, I do an upthrow and hopefully they land on a top platform so I can dair them like 6 times :p
7. Fsmash after a few dairs, edgegaurd (missiles, uptilt, down-angled fsmash, nairs)
8. Charge a shot, repeat

Ice climbers plan.

start off with de-synce
wd around waiting to down-smash wait my balls fall off
shield attacks grab of bair depending on were they are

I think this is all I do but I do make small changes if something isn't working amazingly. But yeah down-smash is basically my answer to everything because it does everything: edge gaurds, chain throws, kills, racks up damage really fast, combos, disjointed, uber fast with min lag, tech chases, lasts long, you duck a little bit, can de-synce ice block into it so camping works, you can space it and I think it's really sexy, plus the movement you get from it, I think that down-smash is better than about half the cast, I mean look at everything is does and compare everyone esle to it on the bottom half they totally fail when compared.

also h-box does more than bair he also sheilds to rest, edge gaurds, grab up-throw rest and ducks under grabs.
