I didn't make it out of Pound 4 pools. Sick johns.

I got 17th at Apex playing exclusive Mewtwo.

I suck, ok. Ice is the best Marth.

Don't expect anything more from me, I just play for the love. I think I'm genuinely good against Falco, but my style doesn't show it. I don't hit as hard as new school Marths, but when I'm on point, I keep Falcos from recovering indefinitely.

But umm, yeah... just let Ice demonstrate his awesomeness when he comes here.

Until then... continue speculating on his performance, but don't come into a thread taking **** away from me, then try to play it off by saying you're not taking anything from me. I don't appreciate that.

If you wanna say I'm overrated and I had an easy bracket, I'm right there with you, just be ****ing honest.

personally. i don't even care if marth is top tier. the important thing is, he isn't a **** character. you can actually win with him without playing 400 times better than your opponent. it'd be cool if he was better than everyone yeah. but at least he has a lot of good stuff going for him. stuff that can actually work.

I am not sure I should've started this thread....I mean it was going well but the problem is ppl jump on recent results to fast. Bunch of *****s sucking the first new **** that pops up....it's kinda embarrassing to read.

It is very entertaining though.


America has overall better falco's but Europe is catching up very fast. Still I want to see ICE play some US Falco's. I also want to see some US Marth's play Hack :D

<3 hack. Is he on smashboards yet? I wanna suck his ****. no homo

Kage, mango has ridiculously few fanboys considering hes the best player in the world.

After watching beast 2 i think its fairly obvious to the keen observer than europe as a whole is not even close to americas level. Armada and the other tippy top euro players are obviously on americas level, but other than that.....not really.

i do not mean to take away from taj`s victory or anything but it looked like PP was playing worse than he usually does, and mango was playing too cocky (like okay he`s up 3 stocks then he keeps going to him at the edge, and F smashes his shield at close range when he`s at 1 stock 0%, wtf). Those vids did not change my mind about the MU. If Taj did it again to them I might change my mind. And Marth vs Fox I did not change my mind either I think it`s 50 50. Taj is bad vs Fox for some reason. Just Dash Dance grab fox, and outspace him with fairs and uairs and sometimes up tilt. Taj if you`re reading this, just do that a lot more honestly is all u really need to change mostly (also watch me vs Jman from herb2, and me vs Zghetto. Just the things you see me do, basically just do the same things mostly). I definitely think Falco (not making mistakes or approaching so much) has advantage in that MU still, if he`s camping and not making mistakes. Are there vids from Beast of Ice vs Falcos I would like to watch it. Also, I do think in general when i fight mango or pp as marth i generally kind of give up before the fight and then play WAY below my skill level. I think I`d do tons better if I just play confident.

also at Ice's marth vs falco game...I'm gonna assume that is why Calle W went fox instead of falco, during their match in Loser's bracket?

I actually don't know if his set against some Falco got recorded, we'll see if AJP bring it out of the hat. He was actually playing against CalleW and Aldwyn on a recording set, but I don't know if anyone put it on before matches.

I agree on your confidence, while you are playing on point, you are very good against Falcos too. RoM3 final was great.

@ Reneblade: Actually USA just got more players, that means that statistically you have more top players and more tournaments, that does not mean the average skill level is higher than Europe, it just means you got more variety of characters (like the best Doc, the best ICs and so on) and a solid base of top players. But actually, at RoM3 I did overall better than past european tournies, and did wonderfull in friendlies against the most of the players, it didn't seem to me the average skill level was higher, it actually seemed that the average knowledge 'bout the game was lower. People was overall good at tech skills but didn't spaced and use their brains that much. (I'm talking out of the top players).

Ice is reallllllly good but im pretty sure he can not beat the top usa falcos sadly(pp & mango), ive played him in tournament with falco and played friendlies vs him(and watched his vids), hes way better than me but he he kinda relies on tricks & he makes his opponent approach him the way he wants and then he punsihes it.

So if a smart player knows how to get around it he can be beaten
he is not really an adaptive player from what ive seen but maybe im wrong and he sanbagged me =D

M2K you played fine at Genesis you just don't get how to fight modern high level Falco with Marth which is really weird to me.

You took a game off Mango with Sheik so maybe think of that more?

Umbreon says you should use Fox but I've never seen you do that matchup so I dunno lol.

I'd love to play Ice. That guy has a ton of heart and I super respect that =)

i know i'm just some kid. you don't even know. and i don't know you personally, along with never having played you. so i don't really have the authority to say this. but you've always been a hero of mine, and i think the only reason the bracket would have been easy, would have been you being good as ****. and i could imagine you made it hard as **** for everyone else.

haha i seriously doubt m2k would go puff, and then be in teh shadows of players like hungrybox and mango.

m2k should go all marth or something. don't counterpick. being at the disadvantage makes you a better player!

with players like axe/shroomed who **** marths, and sheiks at the top like amsah;jiggz /spacies players like mango, hbox, and pp... I'm not sure how well that would work out for m2k, who already seems to be at a psychological disadvantage when he plays these guys. Not to mention armada loves the MU and tends to feed on marths

Not to mention m2k doesn't do well with marth against falcon/puff/now falco/sheik gays marth. I'd love to see it though, if he could prove me wrong, as his marth inspired me to be a marth main.

LMFAO....no that would be a disaster, also @ shadowpheonix, we're still stuck in that m2k (2k7/2k8) era where his marth was just pure sex. I think for jason to even regain the consistency he had with marth, he'd actually have to put in practice(which he doesn't do much of these days/playing purely off of muscle memory and matchup or player knowledge). Marth is just one of those characters that requires you to be like super on point imo, especially with that spacing. Also m2k doesn't seem to care much these days, therefore with that lack of drive, its hard to imagine him getting better, at least with marth lol.

M2K's Trifecta (Sheik/Fox/Marth) is the best thing he can do. It is good and healthy to be able to play 2-3 characters when you're feeling off with your main.

It doesn't really help move Marth up on the tier list, but it helps the player. :)

i think he would get more hate than Hbox because everyone would see it as a cop out and we know he can play other characters at high level unlike Hbox
