good news, bad news, and GREAT news
good news is that this has close to unlimited potential for stage editing. i removed all the animal crossing ppl from smashville and changed the background in like 20 minites. **** this thing is awesome. user friendly

importing the model of trophys WORKS, but only for stages atm (i put Sothe into smashville by replacing him with 1 of the animal crossing creepers)
changing up the model of a character works great. what i mean is that you can remove parts of the model of a character no problem. this is great news because snake - some gear - headband + texture hack + PSA magic = master cheif
also with the good news. you can do anything and everything with stages. SSE stages are AMAZING to put on custom stages (have to use the stage studio program on ur comp). SOO many stage models and SO customizable!
ok bad news. sound effects are a dud for me. same with previewing music on this program (idk if that was intentional or not). alsoo, i tried and i tried but i could not get the prince of persia to surrender ANY models to me. :'( wouldve been amazing. o well
ok heres the great news:
I have an idea on how to turn tropheys into characters. it would be a custom method of changing bones so its gonna be very unstable. dont even count on me releasing it. ive got no time with college apps and all, so by the time im done Ville will have his thingamajig up and running. (i've got DeBlob's model waiting and ready. lol)
anyway the method (if any1 want to do it cuz im 2 busy) is putting the assist model to an animation. (even if its the same animation it came with.). i havent tried it but from what ive read on the forum, giving assists tropheys animations isnt the problem, but the hitboxes. well i was thinking, just PSA something from scratch. make it use offensive collision bubles outside the character. that way you wont even have to worry about bones at all. ull still have bones (not in the right place but ull have them) so ull still take attacks. In addition, while bones are essential to walk, PSA has a function to move the character horizontally at a rate. with careful coding, you can make the PSA compensate for an inability to walk.
btw what im getting at through all of this is a desperate attempt to get Sothe into Brawl. (his trophy is SO good!

but yeah, try the SSE stages over stage builder. its superb. i havent checked to see if it allows diff replacements for diff stages.
