@Graceful Assasin: You can get 2 chain grabs if Marth is at 0% I believe. But anything after that, he can easily Up-B out of it. If you friend gets the timing right, a good trick to do is after a down throw, just stand there and wait for him to Up-B. Then you can proceed to a free grab or smash attack.

SHL into Reflector, if he holds out the reflector prepare to eat 32-ish%.

Try mixing up SHL with Phantasms to counter being reflected, this works on most stuff.

Metaknight's glide attack is an aerial so it doesn't actually have "priority." Any move that's long enough with clash.

Aerial's clash. Glide Attack Clanks.

Clash = Trade hits. You both take damage and Knockback.

Clank = Cancel each other out.

Meta's glide doesn't clank normally, where he is reverted to a nuetral standing postion, but instead it continues and you take nothing. And a fast attack(jab) can punish. Kinda like a Din's Fire.

For me, it took me a month, I sucked that bad at it :sad:

Try starting with dashing SHs and hitting the special button twice with timing after that at the top of the SH. Once I did that I learned SHDL like right away.

It took me a week or so to get the timing for SHDL. Once you get the hang of it, it'll come naturally.

In my opinion, Falco is nothing like Melee. Gameplay is much different. Falco in Brawl is a bit more campy (who would have guessed?). Lasers is a very important in Falco's Brawl game play where in Melee it wasn't used as much. Pillaring is possible in Brawl but not as effective and combo effective in Melee.

Pillaring isn't even possible in brawl. That involves Laser > SH > Dair > FF > Shine > SH > Dair > Shine > repeat.

Its pretty easy to just sh aerial oos to avoid both of those setups isnt it?

Yeah but this is also a full shield. You shouldn't be fighting someone with a full shield ever because of your lasers.

Besides, they only have two opportunities to do it: in between the phantasm and the jab and in between the jab and the dash attack. Also, they might sit in their shield because they don't think they're going to be broken that fast. Dash attack into Up Smash diminishes the shield very quickly.

That's also why I called them setups, not combos.

Sethlon dropped months ago. Still uses Falco from time to time I heard, but went with shiek or ZSS.

DEHF and SK92 are serioulsy the only big names I know.

Fox cannot really DI out, We just have to walk CG him to a decent person then finish it off with something, typically a Gatling Combo as Dair doesn't really work against fox. wow... I haven't heard of the word Gatling Combo in a long time.

@fridaylobster: Unlike some characters who can take the 5 full grabs to ~43-45% and then spiked off stage, Fox cannot be spiked after a full chain grab or if he's at the 40-45% range. Falco has to spike him in earlier percentages.

*oh by the way: my version of Brawl pillaring is just linking several Dairs in a row, lol. Sorry if that has a different name.

I've seen a bunch of vids of falcos on jungle japes using phantasm to get from the middle area to the far ledge of the outer platforms. But when I tried it, i couldn't make it work a single time. So does anyone how to properly do this?

You have to let go of the control stick when you get to the ledge.

YOu don't have to let go, moving the control stick back towards the center of the stage will work too. That is the method I use, whatever works for people.
