true.........I don't want to die, but I wouldn't say I have a fear of death. When the time does come, I'll be anxious to discover what happens afterwards. If it ends up being nothing, oh well. At least I got to live for a while. :]
I agree with everything but this. People have drowned themselves on purpose before. This is the reason why nobody can drown on purpose.
We could already be in the afterlifeNot like we're going to know we're deceased in the first place.
If it even exists. We could already be in the afterlife
hmmm i never even thought about thatWe could already be in the afterlife
But then why can't we remember our former selves then if that was true?We could already be in the afterlife
God works in odd waysBut then why can't we remember our former selves then if that was true?
You know, I don't think you die immediately like that because your brain can last about a minute without a heartbeat. Of course, it might be so painful that you're paralyzed with it.Actually I might want to die by losing my head, so I can't feel anything, but I'm conscious of what has just happened and what is going to happen.
You mean by getting decapitated? *shutters* I heard if you get decapitated at a certain angle that you live for 15 more seconds. That would be the longest 15 seconds of my life.Actually I might want to die by losing my head, so I can't feel anything, but I'm conscious of what has just happened and what is going to happen.
Exactly, your brain wouldn't be able to receive any information about what just happened, so all you do is see and think, and i wouldn't be happy with thatYou know, I don't think you die immediately like that because your brain can last about a minute without a heartbeat. Of course, it might be so painful that you're paralyzed with it.
Because at a subconscious/biological level, our natural instinct is to survive at all costs for the sake of reproduction. What does death mean? No more reproducing for that being.I guess, I'm curious why exactly are we afraid of death? Is it the concept of the unknown, or is it our desire to remain unforgotten? Or is it something completely different? Would you guys enlighten me please?
