Ally doesn't play like any other snake. That's why you think he doesn't look impressive. Different doesn't mean bad. In fact in this case, Different means amazing.

Ally has a style that can't truly be copied, that's why he's so unique.

Everything can be copied.

The problem with people copying Ally, is just... no ones that good yet.


(I'm trying to work a bit of his style into my style. Several people I've brawled that main/secondary Snake say I play... a bizarre/strange playstyle.

Problem with my playstyle, is it's less efficient then Ally's. Problem with fully copying Ally, is I'm not as skilled as he is, and I like having my own base style, but love to know knew styles in case they are more efficient, or make the matchup easier.

Watching Ally vs DK actually helped me outstandingly in that matchup, more then I thought when I first watched it.

Haha, I'm trying to copy some of Ally's style as well (his grab game mostly, because it's so d*** sexy and actually useful), but finding the right time for grabs is tough. I'm slowly learnin though

This may be THE most ********, misinformed, ignorant post I have ever seen in the history of my existence on these boards. Love you Razer, but, and trust me when I say this, Ally is much, much better than Razer. Ally is lightyears ahead of any Snake in the world at this point. He is on par with M2K and Azen, the best of the best. He is creative, inventive, precise, and an absolute genius at this game. WOW. I JUST SAW WHAT HE SAID ABOUT STAGE CONTROL. Listen. I will lay this flat out for you. Ally's stage control, is the most impressive display of skill I have ever seen in Brawl. He controls the stage, and you, better than any player out there. Better than M2K, better than Azen, better than everyone. He doesn't spam **** like everyone else. He picks and chooses what he does to put his opponent in a bad situation. Wow. I cannot believe I just read you taking his greatest skill and making it seem like he doesn't know how to use it. Ally has the basics down and is great at defending. Ultimaterazor has the basics and more down, is great at defending exactly when necessary and pummeling his opponent relentlessly.

Wow. Just watched that video. He got taken down to 1 stock by a Lucas. Ally 3 stocks good, national level Meta Knights in the Grand Finals of tournaments. Wow. I'm actually shocked.

Yet, Ally beats King Ace here and everyone starts a hell storm and praising him and saying stuff like he can take on the best of the best. Ya know what guys? Let's wait for some better evidence than these vids before we go about proclaiming we found a messiah that is like M2K.

He can take on the best of the best, and he proved it. He went practically even with M2K in MK vs Snake in friendlies. Again, am I the only one that can watch vids and see what's happening? This is different from Melee people. This game is slow. At worst, you can pause the video, think about what's happening, realize what each players options are and then unpause and see what they do, giving you a fair judgement of how good they are.

And, from the first 2-3 pages...

Ally is good. Anyone that says otherwise is just a Snake main that doesn't want to admit that Ally is good or they don't know what they're talking about.

I'm not bashing Hall and in fact I think he's really really good (friggin wrecked me a couple months ago lol) but I personally think Ally would wreck his camping but yea maybe Hall cud give him a good match, who knows (not that we'll ever get to see that anyway).

In friendlies Ally and M2K went 3-3. M2K even said Ally played badly in the brackets, though M2K said he also played exceptionally well.

There are good snakes on the west coast...but NONE of them except DSF could come to the east coast and place like Ally, and not even DSF could3 stock all the people Ally did.

Just out of curiosity, are the matches even because he doesn't get gimped, or he's just solid in his setups and the like?

It seems like in a lot of the other matches Ally got into positions to get gimped quite a bit (sometimes he did get gimped...).

me and ally both agreed that if Snake doesn't get gimped Snake has the advantage while if MK gets at least 1 gimp then MK has the advantage. He's just really smart, but needs to fight good people more often. (Not canadians and wifi... no offense canadians lol). He's really smart with grenades. There is no 1 thing he's just really good overall. Lots of mindgame/tricks, although there are times when I think he should use reliable bread and butter stuff more.

i didn't gimp him in our tourney matches and I think I only gimped him like... once? twice at most in all our friendlies I think only once that I remember. For some reason in our tourney matches he was dying from my shuttle loops at 120% like twice I think he missed the DI or something although he was in a really bad position there anyway.

Also, I wasn't doing any spamming of tornados or anything. I don't like playing that way (especially when I keep getting blown up / up tilted out of it half the time I do it).

Although if Ally keeps air dodging into the ground I'm going to start just tornadoing to punish air dodge landing lag. I guess I'll have to see how he starts playing next time I fight him. I hope I play the same or better than I was at Cat 4, although I'll be satisfied if it's the same. That seemed good enough to beat anyone legitly, based off the fact that I think I wasn't playing cheap/lame but still won every singles game vs everyone that whole tourney.

He's improved durastically over the past few weeks and has been dominating tournaments down here. His last tournament he 3-0'ed melee1's IC's in the grand finals lol.
