Steel has suggested to me that I make a new Marth Back Room, because supposibly Pierce doesn't care.
Now the Marth Back Room was once quite a huge tactical discussion 'pool'; it was very active, there was a lot of debating going on, in the early days.
MBR may be dead forever, or it could be worth trying to bring back...
If it were to be brought back by myself:
1. Invite only (again), but all messages are public. MBR shouldn't be about secrets (opinion?), and it's initial purpose was to allow smart/knowledgable Marths to talk about Marth without scrubs/stupidity/spam getting thrown in. Having MBR as public viewing but posts only for it's members is an interesting dynamic. People who care will read, and if they're smart themselves can easily show they know what they're talking about in relation to those subjects (like through the MGD? maybe)
2. 'Reports': Anything that comes to a reasonable conclusion is then organised into something that can be properly released to people.
3. Those invited won't just be Marths (for the discussion topics which need the opinions of other 'groups' - kick them out when we're done with them =))
The new MBR would start off with match up discussion.
Choosing a character to discuss, inviting well-accepted knowledgable players in to discuss it with 'us'; (hence minimal crap from scrubs), then various scribes to throw out the result.
Steel said he didnt want to be invited, but then he agreed, dawwww.

I think that's what mbr should have been in the first place. Only thing is we're not actually doing many rediscussions anymore.
Iono. I just think there was a ****-ton of stuff in the old MBR that got dropped way to early and everyone forgot about. What I think would be amazing is if someone actually went through the old MBR(over like a month or something lol) and combed out all good stuff and STARTED THAT WIKI BACK UP.
Seriously, I put a bunch of work into that wiki and it just VANISHED. Can't say I wouldn't mind getting an invite on the off chance things do go well. If you think I might have something useful to say pass me one.
