Sega have never said what Metal Sonic is powered by and that makes me mad.

Smash really picks and chooses which DK songs to give their proper titles and which to give an extremely vague title relating to their gameplay role. "Ship Deck 2/King K. Rool" is a glaring example of this as 1. another remix of this song exists with the actual name, and 2. Gangplank Galleon is the only ship deck in DKC1. (Unless you count DKL, which had a completely different Gangplank Galleon theme)

I'm really enjoying LS Mark's every Disney movie video so far, but hearing the Melee unlockable menu theme play as the Snow White logo pops up, or an extragagant Tim Follin tune contrasting against the elegant and pretty Bambi logo is such a mood whiplash.

It's suprising that, as far as I can tell, absolutely nobody on the entire internet has suggested the Nodons as a Smash fighter.

and I honestly don't either is an apt comparison. I think a better allegory is basing Crash on 1, Bash. Huge Adventure, Twinsanity, and Titans.

In a decade's time it'll probably be economically possible to give out handhelds with actual 80s/early 90s retro games as kids meal toys - like the old McDonald's LCD toys, but with "dodge the cars" swapped for Sonic 2. Certainly would result in a few literal riots if a one/two-per-customer rule isn't enforced though.

I kinda wish Smash had more ambient tracks like Environmental Noises; 25M; Gamer, e.t.c. They're not that good for listening but make for a great novelty in the battles themselves. The Item Room Ambience from Super Metroid would be absolutely perfect

The choice of Free Wi-Fi in this case is actually completely rational - it only says "Free Book", not "Free Picture Book" or "Free Dictionary" or "Free Car Manual" or anything like that, just "book" - with the Wi-Fi you know what you're getting, while the book is a gamble - especially given how vague just "book" is.
