For some reason a lot of people seem to think early gaming history is just "Computer Space. Pong. Space Invaders. Magnavox Odyssey. Pac-Man. Mario. Zelda. Sonic" when it's MUCH more complex and long than that. I feel this narrative is often pushed to exaggerate the historical importance of series like Metroid, Mega Man, and Crash Bandicoot that didn't really do much for gaming outside their own genres.

If that's the niche you're aiming for with the work as a whole then hell yeah, go for it with no limits! Sexualise and fetishize whatever you want, regardless of societal norms.

If it's in a work where the intent is to actually have characters, make a fun game, tell a story, e.t.c. - especially a sequel to a less sexualised work - just don't. You'll simply isolate fans who aren't there for that and ruin your work's reputation.
