The Switch "eSlop" remedy update is uhh... really bad actually. It just puts MORE emphasis on heavy-hitter games and discourages indie devs from doing discounts
Like, it is an inherent net positive that Gimblegorm's Super Fun House, made with royalty-free Unity assets and only providing 10 minutes of playtime, can find an audience. Someone will like it inevitably. It's an ultimately damaging band-aid compared to just... you know, vetting the games. The reason people are upset with eSlop is because they can't discover new content because of it, not because they're weaseling into the charts.
