Newspaper comics are so ****ing weird - like even beyond the surface level stuff (cow tools, garbage apes, the lineage of official Garfield horror, the non-existance of Calvin and Hobbes merchandise, Sluggo is Lit), you've got self-insert American exceptionalist propaganda in Little Orphan Annie, BC's completely counter-intuitive poignant Christian themes, Dennis the Menace having an evil Scottish twin, a suspiciously large amount of coincidentally-poorly-timed gags related to days of tragedy and rememberance across multiple comics, whatever the hell the Shmoo is supposed to be, Beetle Bailey strips designed specifically to be banned, and evil sarcastic Winnie the Pooh.

According to the Smash wiki, one of Sora's alts is him after having fused with Goofy - unless I'm getting something horribly wrong about KH lore, does that mean Goofy is actually playable in Smash???

I'm listening to the Sonic Underground soundtrack - I was expecting a downgrade from the intro, especially with 3 Urkels singing, but I was not expecting all the songs to be poppy nursery rhymes with wholesome messages like "be kind to children" and "money can't buy happiness" in basically every genre except the ones that would fit the show's plot. One of the songs is ****ing ragtime
I've been reading GameFAQs discourse threads on the Smash DLC stages, and one really interesting point I saw bought up in the sea of "why don't competitive players just use Omega and Battlefield forms?" was that, because of how quickly Nintendo's online capabilities expanded between the Wii and 3DS, 3DS/Wii U were the first games where the devs would have hard data on which stages are most popular, and because competitive players have a smaller pool of stages, the competitive stages would far outweigh the non-Temple casual stages in quantity of playtime.
Having spent my pre-teen years on a diet of primarily retro games and only having gotten into 2000s stuff (beyond the licensed and 1P Nintendo games I played at a very young age) relatively recently, whenever I hear gaming opinions from my own age group, I feel really old. What do you mean Kid Icarus (1986) isn't fun? Asteroids (Atari 2600 port), ugly? Come on, you can wring hours of fun from Penguin Land (1987)!
Zoomer political opinions are on point though.

I like that Pizza Tower does have the staple indie game hidden dark lore, but one instance is a comically harrowing juxtaposition so dark that it's impossible to take seriously (Peppino being a war vet) and the other is utterly nonsensical (the whole Pillar John backstory) - I have no clue if the intent of these backstories was to parody unnecessarily deep and dark lore in cartoony platformers, but it comes off that way and I like it.
I am now cursed with the knowledge that "bluish yellow" is a forbidden colour.
Looking forward to Mr. G&W in EAC, got a great echo and stage planned, both of which are from franchises I've already contributed to a little in EAC
The concept of fantasy dwarves is so funny to me. They literally took a disability and turned it into a whimsical creature. Imagine if someone released a book about "the mystical forest of the ancient Amputees" or something.
We're submitting Ganondorf and Mewtwo's stages and echoes! Whether you like your clones digetic or mechanical, there's plenty of room to stretch your creative muscles!

I kinda want to submit an echo at some point for EAC that is just a blatant "list of adjectives" joke, possibly for either Duck Hunt given how hard it is to conceive an echo for them, or Pit given that Dark Pit was kinda what spawned that meme in the first place. (and plus, I'd have an extra slot for the echo I actually want to submit, Classic Pit)
Rosalina is my only remaining chance for a Small clone in EAC.

Why does Google AdSense think I want to invest in oil so much
It annoys me when people react to the Nintendo COD deal, which is inarguably good for Nintendo customers, with "uuuuuhhhh what about the rare games. 'we' only want the rare games" even though they've already got the Rare games on Switch. -
